I know Martin shouldn't have a belt in the first place and Haymon stole a belt to bring it to the states. However, I don't like when European fighters get belts. They simply defend against bum after bum after bum until matching up with some one with a real chance of winning. I rather see Joshua move up the ranking chasing tough opponents then getting a belt so soon and fighting bums for the next 10 opponents
kathy duva inadvertandly got martin his title not haymon i agree joshua should have to earn a title shot albeit joshua brings money to the table to get a shot easier to make but european fighters defending v bums ? the klitchkos cleared out the top 10 between them and in 10 years there was not a ranked legit contender they did not fight. the first american champ in the last 10 years namely wilder a fighter i like has fought three top 30 to 40 fighters in his first 3 defenses. al haymon will not match ortiz but is signing every single top american heavy he can and will try or will match up one of his own stable v martin and freeze the europeans /cubans/south americans/australasians/chinese/south antarticans out in favour of american heavys most of whom will not fit your joshua criteria.

What makes you think Al will let Martin take the Ortiz fight? Ortiz is with Golden Boy and fights on HBO.
And when you say European fighters defend tham against 'bum after bum' you mean they don't get fights with protected HBO and Showtime hype jobs who are reluctant to travel themselves
Charles Martin doesn't generate enough money for Al Haymon to see any benefit in doing what he does with Wilder - ie fight bums and just hold the title. There is no cow to milk. The only money fights in the division for Charles Martin would be Haye, Joshua & Klitschko. Only one of them is viable. He may give Wilder the chance to take that belt, but that doesn't make enough money in the long-run either.
