Soloppi is hit with an early barrage of uppercuts on the body from long range. Castillo is looking to finish him off, but not getting close enough to risk anything crazy happening. Castillo lifts Soloppi off his feet with a combination of left and right uppercuts on the body from outside, and Soloppi falls and is given a count. Castillo pelts him some more, sniping with long uppers downstairs, and the ref waves it off as Soloppi is put on the ropes again.

Oh, well, there was the 1½ in the lead-in match before this, I guess. :!:

 

Castillo joins very respectable company in Matias Carlos Adrian Rueda and Diego Ricardo Santillan as the only people to halt Soloppi within schedule.

 

I missed the entire Sky card (Warrington vs. Brunker was like Ambien on paper anyway, no big loss...and then Bellew, Murray, and Hall crushing tomato cans? Eh, no thanks) and Brähmer vs. Konrad because I ended up getting twice as much time with my son as expected today. No regrets there.

Having the really nice card on Televisa blacked out beyond Mexico's borders, though - sucks. Briggs vs. Marrone not even having so much as even a lousy GFL stream - also sucks. The lack of any other action in the US on a Saturday night - sucks.
