These two had three thrilling fights in the seventies. Minter winning all three, but Finnegan running him close each time. Some say that Kevin should have been given the verdict in the second one. I'm not so sure. I reckon Minter was just about a nose in front. Thoughts ?

i thought minter won all three, but finnegan did indeed run him close.finnegan also had more luck against hagler and pushed him all the way till losing both fighs on cuts.

Hagler said Finnegan gave him his toughest fights. His brother Chris famously had a FOTY with Bob Foster.

did you ever see bob foster explaining how he KO'd finnegan.i'm sure it was during the 94 world cup.
he said he threw a jab at finnegan but missed intentionally and cupped the back of his head.BANG he cracked poor chris with his right and that was that.finnegan was out on his feet at the time anyway.

christ, great A that was brilliant ,it was like all our yesterdays.
i remember him beating billy knight, his mate, and i remember him fighting ronnie harris too.he also had 2 ding-dongs with gratien tonna.the 1st was lost due to cuts and in the 2nd he got his revenge.:good:good

I watched both part 1 and 2 thanks for posting this... Minter looks great and comes across as a very thoughtful and likeable fellow... One heck of a fighter too in his time!

Got the third one, it is probably the widest win but Minter is nearly out of it at points, he won his rounds 10x clearer and could hurt Minter whereas Minter couldnt even dent him.

You sure that's not the second?.I've only ever seen highlights of the third one going around and no one was hurt in it.

Their second fight was the best of the series IMO.
