How does a prime fight between these 2 play out?

i feel like briscoe would be too tough for minter and would stop him late, either on cuts or by decisive, beatdown style tko

It's an easy option but Minter would get cut to **** here. He'd be right in it but was too game for a tear up and despite having a degree of awkwardness and a dig he isn't dissuading Briscoe.

Both agree and disagree with the other posters.Think were all sure Alan gets cut,but i think if its late enough in the fight, hes got a chance,as ability wise hes right in it.He beat some tough men, example Tonna.Think Kevin Finnegan would have a chance also always assuming cuts not too bad.Tough as he was, cant see Bennie stopping either of these two otherwise and can see either outboxing him.

Skins, just noticed your location, sorry, not too used to the forum or computers. As i said i recognise Bennie Briscoe as a world class fighter, possibly one of the toughest ever.
BUT I consider Minter and Finnegan to be a cut(pardon the pun)above todays British middles, who are good.Exceptional.
Not saying youre biased mate, but im not from London either

No probs. Actually, to me the fight is kind of a toss up. Minter was a tough cookie, but I'll go with Bennie by tko on cuts.

Skins,if that one HAD happened, definitely wouldnt have been surprised at your call on it.Would rather have seen that than, say,Martinez vs Chavez, and yelling for Minter!
What a dream match.Does PhillyPhan see it the same as you?

I am a big Briscoe fan, but also a huge admirer of Minter and find him to be overlooked and undertalked about if not underrated! The possibility of cuts is a very real possibility, but I find it a struggle to call that the most likely scenerio. For me I see either Minter getting drawn into a slugfest or trting to be disciplined enough to use his IMHO superior boxing skills. minter did like to brawl sometimes as well and could get drawn into this type of affair...and even in the other scenerio he would still have those types of exchanges and moments...I lean towards a narrow decision both over 12 & 15 rds in favor of Minter.

Thanks Philly could see either yours or Skins scenarios coming off.Agree that he could be underrated, apart from Sibson, when hed probably declined,I cant remember him being on the floor. Unlucky to run into Marvellous!
Alan should have won Olympic gold.Lost to a German in Munich IMO worst amateur decision i ever saw at that level.
    Having said that,Briscoe terrific also.
