WBA is a farce. JP lost successive bouts to Mark Zinad and Connor Wallace and his last win was against a Thai with record 34-31.
Man the WBA have been back to those Regular/Interim belts in full force this year. Passing them out like candy, especially here lately. Just in the last two months they've made four new Interim champs, and now they're looking to crown three more in August. The Regular belts ain't been as bad, they just made one for 147 that was subsequently upgraded, but they're gonna be having one on the line at 105 on the 30th. I don't mind Interim titles existing but preferably it'd be one or the other. With this fight next month, we'll now have two weight classes that have both Interim and Regular titleists. I really don't like that trend. Damn shame, they were very nearly done away with entirely. But ah well, what can ya expect, boxing orgs gonna boxing org
