    One of the more overlooked gruelling battles of the late 80's. Terrific fight with an ending that left a bad taste in people's mouth. What a shame that a great fight had to end like this.

    I saw the second bout between Alberto Davila and Frankie Duarte in person at the Forum in Inglewood. Up until the bout was stopped, I thought that Davila was winning by a clear margin with his beautiful boxing style while Duarte was very willing, but had trouble coping with Davila.

    The rematch was 10 years after their first fight I believe?

    How come Davila lost by TKO when the cut was a result of a head butt ?

    This fight deserves another rewatch. Great battle, bad ending. Still don’t understand why it was a TKO when it was a headbutt. Can't help but feel bad for Davila, can't seem to catch a break.
