Manzanilla is trying to get inside and jab Vargas in the chest. The longer jab of Vargas, lumped out once and left suspended in the air fully unfurled as an impalement instrument, discourages him. Stiff 1-2 by Vargas, starting to step through with bad intentions after a full minute of turning and jabbing lightly to chin & waist. Manzanilla is trying to find his range as Vargas keeps his jab measured out to hold him at bay.

10-9 Vargas

Round 2

Vargas ducking under the 1-2 and prodding into the chest of Vargas with his jab. They step together and punch and VARGAS IS DOWN FROM A LEFT HOOK. Vargas clinches it out the rest of the way and is saved by the bell.

10-8 Manzanilla

Manzanilla shaken up in the 4th. Somebody's getting KTFO with a left hook tonight, just a matter of whom...

48-46 Vargas

 

Round 6

Manzanilla taking giant home run swings up top with the left hook, awkwardly overreaching upwards for a piece of Vargas' chin but just spinning himself off balance and risking a shoulder dislocation with his jerky misses (at most ever grazing the jaw). Vargas is stepping wide around him and placing the jab on the bridge of his nose. Manzanilla just looking for the big upset KO, loading up on power shots and hurling them up as he barrels in repeatedly, each time repelled with a matador pivot & counter jab from the champ. Manzanilla getting close with his big flying hooks, grazing with a few, but not hitting major pay-dirt.
