The Wasp has just enough positive qualities to be incredibly frustrating... like, "I'd enjoy the way you fought a lot more if you weren't clearly walking up to where you know the line is, of doing just enough to win rounds, and then propelling yourself back into the shadows".

    10-9, 100-89

Last minute of round 11 was the most adrenaline that's pumped through any of the principals in the ring (including the ref) since the opening bell.

110-98 Puello, signs he might (hopefully) go all-out, kill-or-be-killed in the last frame.

Still going for the KO throughout the 12th, too featerfisted and Rubio too durable to pull it off.

    120-107 Puello

Rubio was hurt by a body shot pretty badly with 90 seconds left...not sure Puello noticed, as the next time he got in range he just brushed him with face jabs.

This round, like the previous, had an ugly clinch-filled half followed by a fun and dramatic half.

    120-107 Puello

    Gonzalo Torres: "campeon" hahhahahhahahahhaha

(in re: the ring announcer saying "and still..." about Puello; this was for his WBA interim title :sisi1)

...wow, the D.R.'s is a poor knock-off of Mexico's, but mops the floor with the Himno Nacional del Perú.

Awkward! Erick "Mini Pacman" Sosa, ostensibly the star of the show, is given a big overblown screaming intro by the announcer...followed by a tepid cheer from like three or four people in the crowd. Puello got way more love.

I mean, they're not booing or anything...it just seems like they don't know him.

The winner of this will technically be a world title claimant, of sorts, but honestly if you're competing at 105lb and you're not from Asia (really, just three specific countries) you're nobody. The whole top 15 consists of Thai, Filipino and Japanese fighters - none of whom likely have anything to worry about from the Latin American corner of the world.

10-9 Mini Pacman, staggered Ricky with a couple of counter left uppercuts but never followed up with anything.

Hands seem quick but there's otherwise certainly nothing Pacman-like about his demeanor and work-rate.
