    Round 3

Diaz is jabbing steadily, getting his left glove picked out of the air as Rossel reaches up and swats it. Hook to the body by Rossel as Diaz reaches over the top with a right hand. Rossel lands a jab but eats a right hand. Diaz is putting together combos from outside now, utilizing his length. Hooks and rights together.

    29-28 Rossel

2-1 Rossel, though Diaz is having a decent amount of success with that right hand.

Rossel did well early and late in the round, while Diaz had success in between. Round could go either way.

    Round 4

They exchange punches while rapidly circling up close, ending with a simultaneous transfer of left hooks that leaves Rossel stumbling, caught off balance and perhaps a bit dizzy from the dance...and certainly with his hands out of place. Diaz jabs over his head. Rossel sticks his own jab upward and Diaz hammers past it with a right hand, knocking Rossel back. Diaz trots in aggressively, leading with his right and then jabbing or hooking after it careens off Rossel's glove (and into his field of vision). Diaz is using that lead overhand right almost like how a lot of boxers use a jab, a throwaway punch, setting up everything else. Rossel lands a short overhand right to the top of the head and puts some hooks behind it, to the delight of the crowd. Another attempt by Rossel to steal a round late, not sure if he was successful this time.. That hook from Diaz early on was the best thing either landed this frame.

Rossel sort of...didn't...do anything there until late on...

    Round 5

Diaz is still looking to hook off that right hand, but Rossel is using more of his own right now, snapping it out straight and jolting Diaz. Rossel stands just outside of reach and waits to counter puncher, settling comfortably into this new role. Diaz is hesitant to take chances but does brush the top of Rossel's head with a jab, which Rossel takes as an opportunity to jab him back in the armpit.

    48-47 Rossel

Rossel is starting to frustrate me, he's being too selective and I could see a case being made for Diaz to be in the lead due to work rate. I'd agree that Rossel is winning 3-2 but he's annoying me.

    Round 6

Exchange of hooks while circling, both connecting. Diaz is circling wide around Rossel and flashing jabs at him. Rossel tries to cut the ring off and get a piece of the body with big hooks, but isn't getting close. Diaz rushes in and drops some whipping shots across Rossel's back before briefly clasping him and then pushing off when the ref starts to pipe up.

OK, I've worked it out...Rossel is trying to be Arthur Abraham (just with out the dynamite fists)...Probably 4-2 Rossel, could see 4-2 Diaz as a push though due to the difference in work rate, even if much or Diaz's work is ineffective.

    Round 7

Rossel charges in with overhand rights, missing but getting inside. Jab to the chin by Rossel. Diaz backs him out with a 1-1-2, really slamming down with the right at the end. Rossel puts out his jab as Diaz comes chopping in again with the same combo. Nice right hand check counter by Rossel. BLATANT low blow by Diaz, big left hook to the gonads, perhaps out of frustration. The referee immediately gets in his face and sends him to a corner as Rossel winces by the ropes. Rossel only takes a few extra seconds to recover. Two minutes left in the round. Double jab, right hand by Diaz. 1-2 by Diaz. Rossel is backing up and blocking everything. Diaz keeps pecking with the jab, stepping around and varying the height he's throwing it from until it touches Rossel a few times.

    10-9 Rossel

    67-66 Rossel

Given that to Diaz, he landed the most notable blow...and in fact the blow that I seem to remember, Rossel needs a kick up the arse.

    Round 8

Rossel is jabbing and leaning backward. Diaz rushes in, planting a hook to the body before wrapping his upper body around Rossel's. Diaz is sticking the jab and backing Rossel up. Right hand by Diaz past Rossel's jab. 1-2 to the body diving in by Diaz. Rossel is being kept quiet by the jab of Diaz. Clinch. Big overhand right by Diaz, high over Rossel's shoulder. Body tap by Diaz diving down and in. Right hand lead by Diaz, Rossel's flicking jab getting in the way. More flicking jabs by Rossel. Diaz circles away and throws an overhand right falling in.

    10-9 Diaz

Yeah 4-4, Rossel was slightly better in that round in terms of activity but...still not doing enough...he's probably lucky he's at home here.

    Round 9

Rossel is jabbing in and trying to keep his lead foot inside Diaz's, but simply lacks the energy. Diaz is dancing around, pot shotting with jabs from outside. Diaz is warned for accidentally elbowing Rossel in the face. Double right hand by Rossel, reaching and missing. Big combo by Rossel jumping in, and he manages to connect a hook with the top of the skull as Diaz is ducking and presenting it graciously.

    86-85 Rossel
