Huh, a draw. Seemed like Mendoza clearly lost, but whatever.

Lmao that’s their second draw in a row, I’m pretty sure they just don’t want to give the less attractive girl the win

Mendoza and Almengor both now sit at 0-0-2 after a pair of draws with one another. I wonder if we’re going to see a trilogy :risas3:

Poor Almengor, stuck in limbo in her prizefighting career as well as, likely, the dating game. :ohno

Featherweight prospect La Roca is very popular domestically in Panama, not a world beater yet fun to watch and can whack.

Guapito Jr. is the unbeaten son of Venezuelan road warrior Edinson Torres, who fought tons of decent names in a nineteen year career and technically was a world champ briefly in the 1990's (if you count the IBO)

It was his dad's nickname, too. Hard to blame him when it was inherited, tacky or no, are you going to not pay your pops tribute?

Sort of like how it was always sort of ridiculous that Camacho Jr. kept using "Machito" when he possessed none of Macho Time's comedic persona to pull it off, and has never been particularly, well...macho enough to use it unironically.

    Round 1

de Gracia is stalking Torres, who looks to have a height advantage of at least a few inches. de Gracia throwing high left jabs and taking wide hemispheric swipes at the body with his right. Torres is skipping around the perimeter, not even having to get near the ropes with plenty of space to operate in the large ring, and enjoying quite a bit of a foot speed advantage over de Gracia as well. Torres is nimbly dancing circles around the ring and laying pot shot jabs on de Gracia's face, staying clear of everything the home fighter throws back his way.

    10-9 Torres

    Round 2

de Gracia is taking big powerful swings at the body, keeping up a nice output and yet continuing to struggle in finding range. Torres is too mobile, tall, and defensively alert with pretty sharp reflexes executing twists, bends & shimmies to keep his midsection primarily clear of harm. Torres isn't landing much himself, either - a smattering of jabs here and there while turning de Gracia. Torres is being very negative and crisscrosses one corner of the ring to perplex de Gracia but ends up having to urgently double-pump a jab to fend him off when de Gracia unexpectedly takes a diagonal lunging step inside to cut off the ring and reaches toward his chin with a jab. Their arms deflect each other and de Gracia continues pursuing. de Gracia lands a couple of thumping rights on the chest.

10-9 de Gracia, not much in that.

    19-19

It seems like de Gracia is consistently one shot away from putting Torres in real trouble, lol right as I’m typing it he goes down

    Round 3

de Gracia is starting to slingshot himself in on Torres, finding it easier to bang his body with left hooks when he's swooshing across the ring so fast he can just barely keep his footing without eating shit and tumbling head over heels. Torres now hugging the ropes, flat out running, using his left arm outstretched to push at de Gracia's forehead to hold him off. de Gracia keeps swarming, throwing hooks at the body and overhands up top, and he clips Torres in a momentary lapse of concentration, dropping him in a flash but legitimate knockdown, taking a knee and remaining in a squat with his gum shield held between his teeth for a moment, considering whether to continue. Torres isn't hurt but de Gracia has momentum, bull-rushing in. Torres saved by the bell.

    10-8 de Gracia

    29-27 de Gracia

    Round 4

de Gracia runs Torres down and clatters up and down his side with hooks, punctuating with straight-ish right hands up top. Down goes Torres again, once more spitting out his mouthpiece. Unclear if the ref even gave a count there, lots of confusion, didn't seem to realize the gum shield was missing for a moment and paused the action moments after beckoning the fighters to resume to ask Torres where it went. Torres down again. Up with no count, weirdly. Academic, moments later de Gracia hammers at Torres' side with more hooks and he's down and wants no more.

    TKO4!!
