Mosquera is just surviving rounds at this point. When Alcine goes for it, he destroys him.

    Two different classes here.

Good job Alcine! A short guy who ducks under everything and holds more than Ruiz really made Alcine look bad in a fight where he had full control the entire time.

Mosquera was just awkward, but he got owned.

    post fight interview

--> Becoming champion is one thing, staying is another, how did you find your night?

JA --> I was a little disapointed because in the beginning of the fight, first 7 or 8 rounds, i was trying to unload too much to impress the fans and strayed away from my fundamentals.

Joachim really got dragged into Mosquera's style of fight and thats why it was so sloppy.

Alcine's bread and butter is the jab which he barely used tonight.

Interviewed, he said he was too concerned about giving a good show for the home crowd.

I don't mean this offensive to the Alcine fans at all, but this reminded me of TAylor/Ouma fight in the fact the obviously more skilled and bigger fighter for the most part was gun shy and getting backed into the ropes by a wild swinging smaller guy. But Alcine finished the show in style in the 12th. I must admit though on that performance I'm not sure of Alcine's chances with Karmazin or Santos. Good win though, he just showed some vulnerabilities overall that an elite fighter may exploit. All in all great evening of boxing, and once again mad, mad respect to Canada and it's fans for showing out in great numbers and creating a wonderful fight atmosphere. Not to forget the great Canadian production companies for supplying a high quality stream for fans world wide to enjoy for free.:canada :canada :canada Thanks to the thread provider and respect to Canada from a few states south of the border.
