If so how does it effect your training after a night out on a weekend, or how smoking effects your abillty in the gym?

I drink now and then. Usually once a month tops, it throws my training out for a bit, maybe two sessions. Then I'm back to normal, it's the crap I eat hen I'm drunk that I worry more about.

As for smoking I used to smoke when I was younger so the inevitable happened when I quit and I moved on to smoking only when I'd had a drink. I don't any more though.

I only drink to socialise with friends, i usually train so much and spend free time with my Missis an daughter, but have a boys night out on the odd occasion. I think you have to let your hair down now and then or you'll go crazy.

    I dont smoke.

And I only socially drink on weekends. - but have cut down.

And have been training hard lately - to push myself into good shape.

The Saturday just gone - I got drunk - out on the town - had a good few pints.

But on the Sunday - feeling a bit hung over - instead of lying in bed feeling bad all morning - I forced my self up - and done a skipping session to sweat it all out of me - then did some bag work - press ups - sit ups, etc.

I think being tee total - is obviously the best opition for getting into and keeping in shape.

But what I think is - if you want some kind of life - and go out and enjoy yourself and have a few drinks - then do it - but dont let the rot set in - dont that let that be a excuse to slack off training and lose your discipline and lose your way.

Thats why I was eager to train on the Sunday morning - to sweat off the booze - shake off the hang over - and get back on track with training.

I was drinking every weekend, was still training but was tired on the Monday and have tryed to literally stop altogether so i never sink that tired again for a wile, find as well i have so much more energy from not going out. I did go out last weekend and sure wont be going out for a while,. don't wanna ruin my progress. like you said if you want some kind of life you have to do something now and again or you'll crack.

I do smoke as well, everyday. I'm quite a slender fit person in general, its obviously effecting me i just don't know how much, would like to quit in the near future.

Lots of guys I know who box are borderline alcoholics when they don't have a fight lined up. I don't really know why that is.
