That's the one, why binge after your fight and **** away the hard work, not remembering anything in the process. Of course you'll probably enjoy yourself more at the time but is it really worth it? I wish no one drank.

It was my Birthday on the 7th and nephews birthday on the 13th of October, I wasnt physically right until the 21st ish, and my attitude wasnt right until November.

Drinking alcohol is the worst thing you could do if you want to train. I have never taken smack but I can't imagine how it could be worse.

Im 22 on friday, will be my first birthday since I was 16 that I won't drink, I've not had a drink in 14 weeks today and should be fighting any time over the next month. After then and around Christmas will be a tough time not to crack though. I used to binge drink, mostly just once a week but would often take it too far and wake up regretting it. Though I was never violent or got into trouble drunk, I'd rather just be myself at the moment.

Depends on how well you handle it. Some people claim it's the devil, to others, it's the nectar of the gods. Personally I can get pretty lit and be fine the next day. If it's taking a toll on you however, the obvious answer is to cut that **** out.

I just want to be off it for awhile anyway, and boxing is a good excuse to be off it. i think in about 4 years i havent gone longer then 2 weeks without drinking and its time for a break. I also binge drink alot during the summers. i had a great night halloween and was pretty drunk but i felt depressed in the morning been hungover and i know my fitness pays for it so im gonna be off it for atleast a month.

Sad but true drinking will slow you down alot!! If you drink once a week you will never be able to compete.

Still going, feel like I've cracked it now. Not had a drink since 5th August, completely sober Christmas and new year and had a great time! Tee total and proud!

I'm looking forward to a sober summer too, no silly **** up holidays and not having to worry about getting back in shape as the season approaches. Just get fitter!
