Aldo had ONE mediocre showing against Florian and now everyones going off him. :roll: They even complained about his performance in his previous fight even though he beat the **** out of Mark. Aldo is a very dangerous fight for Edgar. Edgar doesn't have the speed advantage in this fight or the stand up tools and power that Aldo possesses. Maynard is a garbage finisher and can't put power and combinations together like Aldo can. Aldo is a tremendous finisher and could easily end up catching and hurting Edgar like Maynard did, but unlike Maynard Aldo has the precision striking and combinations to finish Frankie. Aldo won't let him off the hook.
I agree with everything you have posted bro :good I'm not counting Edgar out because I do feel like he will have a good shot at maybe landing some combos and possibly controlling Aldo on the ground, but over 5 rounds it's going to be very tough for him to avoid getting stunned from Aldo, if he couldn't avoid getting caught from Maynard when he was fresh. Also Aldo's TDD is insane, and even when he does get down, he's a beast on the ground as well. And food for thought, if Aldo IS growing out of Featherweight, then Edgar definitely doesn't want to fight this dude at Lightweight. This may end up looking like the Faber fight, only Aldo will finish him. I felt he ALLOWED Faber to finish that fight out of respect for him. :deal
Either Aldo knocks him out in the first two rounds or Edgar figures him out and wins a decision. I can't decide which is more likely. Aldo is explosive and a good finisher but Edgar has incredible survival instincts and is the best in the game at adapting to take fights over.
Aldo looks weight drained @45 , he needs to tell Dana to get to **** and move to 55 asap before risk of losing his title Edgar would a monster @45 , if cutting weight suits him he'd be practically un beatable In summary @55 its a pick em , i like Franky @45 ............

He's right tho IMO, edgar doesn't have the greatest chin his recovery power is unreal but I don't think that would help much against aldo who finishes almost better than any1 and I don't think Frankie would be too hard to catch Maynard is just predictable as fuk!

Edgar's issue is when a fight starts, his reflexes are not on point, and he gets caught, and Maynard can bang. Plus, he ****ing survived it, and his recovery is amazing. From that point on, his reflexes get better, he's sharp as **** and he shows no problems with his chin. It's not his chin, it's his reflexes, but this dumb **** would lead you to believe he has a glass chin and it's insulting bollocks. That uppercut that hit Edgar would knock out a horse. Thats was a huge shot coming in. Anyway, Frankie would go for the takedown instantly and Id be shock if Aldo can stand from there.
Maynard can punch, his stats are quite deceiving. He has good boxing skills but needs to spar more just as a boxer. This will allow him to work on feints, setting up his shots more, range finding with the jab, not loading up so much etc Maynard has speed and power but its the technical aspect he needs to improve on. Its all about what you do with that speed and power. Nigel Benn had speed and pwoer but he wasn't a boxer, he loved to brawl. Even if he shadow boxed as a boxer, when the bell rang, the brawler in him came out. Maynard needs to work on his boxing so he is cuter with his moves. The hook and uppercut he landed on Frankie in both fights were big, accurate shots but its hard to make those shots land repeatedly against elite fighters.
