Mendes with a full camp wipes his **** with McGregor. Him not being fit to fight is what lost this for him. He simply had no gas left.
I'm not a MMA guy but here's an interesting quote I read on a forum "i dunno bout a fix, but the weirdest thing was how chad beat up conor the whole 2nd round and as soon as conor got back up chad looked super gassed and hurt even though he was on top blasting conor with elbows also never seen chad just stand there and not move at all" I actually havent seen any other chad fights so I can comment on it, but it is fishy as hell that the dude wa sbasically blasting him with elbows the whole time and once connor got out he basically did jack **** and just stood there eating punches. As someone who rarely watches MMA I thought this was definitely rigged, and I checked some forums to see if people had this thought and right away I found http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f2/conors-stock-just-went-down-3028117/, where the majority found it fishy. I've watched loads of pride fights and I've literally never seen something like this ever.
For what it's worth I really did enjoy the Lawler/Forgot the other dudes name fight. I enjoyed it the most out of all the fights today including boxing. I cant stand guys wiht styles liek chad mendes, no one wants to see 2 dudes hugging on the ground for a whole ****ing round.
gas tank was gone. Mendes was sucking wind in the first round. He was gassed when he took McGregor down in the second. He went for broke with the guillotin and when McGregor escaped, Mendes was basically done. He stood there because he was exhausted.
I dont really buy that, especially since it was incredibly early in the fight, and apparently mendes is known for having good stamina. I saw some people giving that explanation in the link I provided, but I think most people over there agreed with me. They could be McGregor haters, but as someone who could really give a **** about either that really did look 100% rigged, and I've watched tons of pride fights, and 4-5 ufc cards, and i've never had this thought once. Also what was up with those elbows to the back of the head? The ref warned McGregor, and he did ti again like 30 secs later lol, I dont know the rules so that confused the hell out of me.
