And he landed a lot less. If Edgar wasn't doing any damage then why was Aldo gassed in round 3. Btw all I heard was how devastating Aldo's kicks were gonna be. He landed 6 kicks to Edgar's 30 plus.
Aldo was sucking wind at the end of round two. He seemed to do the same thing against Hominick, and also to a lesser extent against Florian. If you look at those fights, along with the Edgar fight. Aldo just doesn't have good cardio. The opponent has done little to nothing to him in the first two rounds for him to be gassed. Edgar damn sure didn't do anything in those first rounds. He was getting owned.
Edgar ate a total of 9 legkicks and landed a total of 18 but the majority of them wasnt with power behind them. And i would call it that he gassed in round 3 yes he did slow down but its not like he could barley throw a punch or having his hands down by his legs
I want to watch the fight if it happens no doubt about it but it will hold the division up. KZ and Koch have been waiting and Koch even lost a fight instead of wait until after the Edgar/Aldo fight
When I first watched it. I gave Aldo the first two rounds. I thought Aldo did some things in the first part of the third, and I thought Edgar did some things in the last part of the third. I gave it to Aldo, I thought he was more damaging in his half of the round. Edgar won round 4. I gave Aldo round 5 for the more damaging strikes. Second time around, Aldo clearly won one and two. The third could go either way. Frankie was like a little mosquito buzzing around. Aldo had the face kick and a few jabs, but Edgar had some good punches, and good leg kicks. I thought the round could go either way. Upon rewatching leaning towards and Edgar round. Round four was an Edgar round. Round five seemed like an Edgar round. He landed more, and and snapped Aldo's head a few times. Aldo still seemed to land the harder punches, but Edgar was more active in his scoring offense. 3-2, either way, or a draw would have been fine.
