They're selling Tinoco as dangerous because he upset three unbeaten prospects - but that all happened over 3 years ago. (plus, only two of them were 14-0, not three as they said on the broadcast...and those happened as part of an excellent nine-month span for Tinoco in 2011 & 2012 where he also drew with a 6-0 prospect)

He does have a good recent victory, however, over Joksan Hernandez by TKO. :think

Indeed a big step up for Barrios in any event.

Round 1

Tinoco is circling around wide, dipping when Barrios jabs at him. Barrios is using his considerable advantage in length to jab and doubles a hook off the jab. Right hand on the kisser from Barrios. Tinoco is checking a few jabs on his right glove, pushing into them from a base position at his armpit. Not many punches edgewise from Tinoco, mostly circling and playing defense.

Round 2

Barrios is jabbing at Tinoco's head but to no avail. Tinoco swims through Barrios' moat and works the body. Nice step-in overhand by Tinoco. Barrios is spraying jabs and rights past Tinoco's face, missing by a hair on either side. Tinoco is now southpaw, weaving his way in and throwing a right jab with a downward hacking motion like a doctor testing reflexes with a patellar hammer. BIG looping left by Tinoco, catching Barrios repeatedly and making him scramble to evade or fall in, giving up his height.

He wasn't really in the 1st, but maybe he was just feeling Barrios out because yeah, totally different ballgame now.

 

This is GREAT. Had they not both shied off by mutual agreement after twenty seconds that could've been minute-of-the-year.

 

Round 3

Tinoco is pumping the jab and corkscrews a right at Barrios. Huge counter 1-2 from Barrios! They fire while stepping in and then get knocked back from return blows! Tinoco is switching his stance now, as does Barrios with a brief experimentation with southpaw. Tinoco is forcing the action with that patellar tester jab while boxing lefty, and looking to land a big overhand or looping left. Barrios is giving space, countering with left hooks stepping wide diagonally back and to his left and just grazing Tinoco's temple.

Round 4

Barrios is keeping Tinoco on the outside now, jabbing into his forehead. Tinoco does lots of switching and flips in whichever arm is rear to catch punches on the outer elbow. Nice long straight and shore-lapping punches from a distance by Barrios. Right hand on the body by Barrios. Tinoco is skirting the ropes, feet not even touching the Corona logo as he orbits Barrios. Long stiff double jabs skimming the top of the head by Barrios.
