Babic looked pretty bad against the French fighter and in the third round he was almost knocked out, the bell saved him...
He's a glorified Tuffman. As long as you accept him as such, he's fun to watch. I'm fine with these guys adding some pop to undercards.
He is a knockout waiting to happen. But he is entertaining so take him for what he is - a raw slugger. Don’t overrate him just enjoy a good punch up, which this was.
He's coming off Covid just two weeks ago, obviously hadn't trained a lick for the fight, and is clearly shot to bits.
Babic is (more or less) a brawler. Those guys get hit - and Babic did. He was a bit careless with an opponent who didn't come to lie down and was a pretty good counterpuncher. If any boxer is caught cold by a punch thrown by a 240+ lb opponent who knows how to throw a punch...he's in trouble. That's not indicative of Babic having a weak chin...that's indicative of a man being fed a big, big shot. I don't think Babic has a very high ceiling (if the 2nd round bell had been 10-15 seconds later...that might have been it for him) - but he did win the fight (by KO) and probably entertained most of us in doing so. I've never understood why many/most posters on this board seem to want one-sided fights. I don't. I don't see see Babic winning a major strap at HW or even BW (assuming Bridgerweight actually becomes a sustainable division) - but I sure do find him fun to watch.
