If Floyd really wanted the fight he'd say " finally! Let's get it on!". But you know what Floyd did instead.

And what the hell is so strange about Clottey signing up quickly? Ever heard of contingency plans? He's Top Rank. Anybody would jump at a chance to get in the ring with Pac.

I think Arum is even now moving the pieces to have Bradley fight Pac after JMM.. Arum has said that Mayweather was his priority. But they can't wait for Floyd's vacation to be over forever.. :hi:

Not only did the Clottey fight come out of nowhere, but he felt the need to lie that 14 days was ever offered in order to kill the Mayweather fight. Then ignored the offer of 14 days once confirmed by the mediator and pursue the Clottey fight.

He had the chance to solidify the Mayweather fight with accepting the 14 days but instead balked. The fact that they felt the need to even lie that it was ever offered shows that he knew it was a good offer but didn't want it.

 

Pac has not agreed to his demands. When Mayweather wanted no cut off, Pac wanted 30, then moved down to 24 after Hatton thing was found out. Mayweather offered 14 days Pac still wanted 24. Fight over. Mayweather says no more cut off dates Pac says 7 days.

Even if Clottey was a contingency plan. They chose Clottey over accepting 14 days.

 

Pac did verbally say he agreed to the OSDT testing; however, Kuntz stated that it was not put in the contract; they had a cutoff date in the contract.

Cotto, Clottey, Margarito were always going to be Pac's next opponents. Not saying its Pac or Floyd's fault, this has been Arum's plan all along to milk more money before putting Pac against Mayweather.

For us fans it sucks, but it is the better "business" decision in regards to maximizing profits.
