HOLY ****. I was like...half-kidding. I'm not upset to see Danyo get screwed, but objectively yeah that is awful scoring. Fiordigiglio very blatantly lost.

 

Like what the hell even was their rationale for giving him six rounds? What did any of (all of, rather..) the judges think he was doing effectively in SIX rounds to be awarded them over Danyo??

I guess, yeah... still feels kind of icky to be lauding a robbery. But...yeah.

 

I love how a majority of Mexicans have just glossed over the fact that for the first half of his career they scoffed at him, called him "gringo"/not a real Mexican, etc. - and that he was highly unpopular for a time (primarily for bullying older/smaller/himself wildly popular Archie Solis, in an emo tantrum over a girl)... short memories, I guess..
