THey just going to fight at MGM like they always do anyways. How much more money can be pull from 12000 seats. Enough to pull 100 million? i doubt it. If it indeed pull 100million from sponsors and gate revenue then is unfair to pac but I am highly skeptical.

Arum and Don King are both crooks. Arum only want his fighters fight each other and keep the money in house and tax both boxers. Pac is popular enough to promote himself, he needs to leave Arum. Pac fans doesn't want him to get possibly ripped off by floyd but they are ok with him staying arum who f**k him in the ass for how many years???

WRONG!! Drug testing came down to 10 days. Pac agreed to 24 days and that was ONLY after he was busted, shown on video, doing tests at 24 days for the Hatton fight. Originally he said he wanted a 30 day cutoff. Floyd went from 0 days to 14. Pac's team went from "sure no problem" "whatever you want", to 30 days to 24 days. Floyd didn't throw away anything. Pac and team were the one's that walked away from negotiations.

The problem is Floyd was the bigger draw then as well and Pac should've taken the 50/50 when he had the chance. You are blaming Floyd for not accepting the 50/50 before, but yet you won't put the blame on Pac for wanting to accept the same deal then, that he wants to accept now. Whether you want to admit it or not, Floyd outsold Pac SUBSTIANCIALLY with ALL COMMON OPPONENTS. *Official PPV numbers please. There is NO reason to not release them if it really did 1.4 mil. Arum didn't because, it didn't!*

Isn't this EXACTLY what Pac is doing?? Floyd said after the Mosley fight that Pac had his chance for the 50/50 and if Mayweather/Mosely did better than Pac/Clottey, he could kiss 50/50 goodbye. Why aren't you blaming Pac for not accepting it when he had the chance.

look man, we are dealing with two liars here. Have to take what either says with a grain of salt

But here, an article posted so many times by Floyd fans..

    http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=2420382

Many in the sport believe a De La Hoya-Mayweather fight is the biggest fight on the horizon and the only one capable of generating 1 million-plus buys on pay-per-view.

The reason Mayweather opted for the buyout rather than waiting for the May 6 result was because the contract had a limited window for the buyout, one that expired before the De La Hoya fight. However, Arum said he would have extended the window if Mayweather had asked. What Arum wouldn't do, he said, was raise the guarantees for other fights outlined in the contract.

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

Ellerbe said Mayweather opted for the buyout so he could be "more in control of when and who he fights next. It's as simple as that. There is nothing bad between Floyd and Bob."

Arum agreed that the split with Mayweather was not on bad terms like their brief breakup last year. In fact, Arum said, "We intend to be back together. Everything with this was honorable and good. I had offered him numbers [for a multi-fight contract extension] that were livable. His expectations are in the stratosphere. He was entitled to buy me out, and he did. We decided this was the best way to handle it. He is a free agent. We have agreed to work with each other [in the future]."

The split frees Mayweather to make a potential deal with De La Hoya without Arum as part of the promotion. His involvement would have made making a deal almost impossible: The head of Top Rank has openly feuded with De La Hoya, his former superstar, and their companies rarely do business together as a result.

Arum said he was simply not interested in participating in a De La Hoya-Mayweather fight, but not because of his distaste for De La Hoya.
"I don't want to, because if I did that fight, I would be working for such a small percentage, it's not worth it," he said.

Floyd wanted $20M for the DLH fight which Arum was not willing to put up.

Pacquiao resigned a new deal not long ago with Arum. It's not Pacquiao fans, it's him. He is happy with how TR have managed his career. How can it be a serious demand for him to leave TR for the fight to be made? He had the chance to and chose to resign. He's not going to buy out his contract for tens of millions or whatever amount when he only has a couple fights left. It's easier for Mayweather to get rid of GBP and approach TR with his Mayweather promotions and work out a deal that way. Better two promoters taking from the pot than three if Mayweather is so concerned with promoters taking money from his fights.

nah actually bob wouldnt let him fight oscar for his biggest payday at that point, so he bought of his contract like any smart businessman would do and he fought oscar for his biggest payday... bob didnt like oscar at the time because he left arum due to money issues. he got lucky and found pacman later dont try to make it seem like he replaced floyd hahaha floyd was tired of that slave contract mannys in you dumb**** anyone who knows anything about boxing knows that floyd wanted out of that contract so he could get his biggest payday.

anyone else find it weird that all these fighters have a money issues with arum? i dont know about you but i really want to read over mannys contract so i can get a good laugh lol and see just how much hes being bent over buy the bob father

They should make this fight before one of them gets beat. Manny got a risky fight coming up soon and looking in decline and so does Floyd. S**t is going to blow up in their face.
