Schaefer said it best - Lets sit down, add up all the numbers and divide the split fairly based on the better numbers.

    Manny does not deserve 50/50.

If Manny received 50/50...he would double his high payday of $25,000,000 while Floyd would only make what he made for Cotto.

These fighters are going to split $100,000,000. So at 50/50...Manny would get to double his highest payday and Floyd makes the same...not a fair deal.

I'm not sure about 50/50 because I don't have all the factual numbers for either fighter. Just a bunch of numbers from the Internet. But Pac should get a share of the PPV's and whatever he is worth...just like Floyd.

What Richard Schaefer proposed seems like the best option at this point because its bringing in a 3rd neutral party to determine what the factual numbers are. It will be all out on the table.

And if it comes up that it should swing one way or it should be 50/50...then so be it. But you need the fighter's to sign off on agreeing to whatever they come up with since it will be based on the numbers.

At the end of the day, hopefully, the only reason we are talking about this is because we all just want to see the damn fight happen already. But lets take a step back and let them do their business because we aren't going to receive a dime (unless we are placing bets on the fight)

should they took into account that floyd is fighting once a year and normally has bettter undercards? also arum admitted that he doesn't invest heavily in promotions like GBP does and let the fighters starpower draw for themselves.

but hey ali and frazier halved the purse in their first fight just to make the biggest fight at that time. 50/50 is just fair for a fight of this magnitude.

 So since Arum admitted it, it must be true? Don't give me that.

They should take into account PPV numbers, revenue, and fighter purses as to who takes what. Whoever has the more favourable numbers and more $, gets the bigger piece of the pie.

The only fair way to do it.

Even if they work out all the buys and come to the conclusion that one fighter deserves a bigger share. The other could say no I want half of the biggest fight of my career. At this time this is the only fight these numbers can be done for. So they need each other. Else can carry on getting pay days from their promotion companies.

If Floyd is putting on better cards then its all the reason more to Fire Arum on this one which is what Floyd basically seemed to be doing buy trying to buyout Pac with his 40 million offer. Arum wouldn't have been able to be involved.

And you should applaud Floyd for putting on a better card for the money. Because if that is the case with Arum, then we would probably be spending $100 for Floyd vs. Pac with a bunch of club fighters on the under-card. While Golden Boy will most likely use it to promote their future fighters.

In the end, for that price, the fight that lures people to buy the PPV is the Main fight. What helps is a good undercard if you are on the fence.

Boxing needs to start stacking their cards more often.

Your talking about a calendar year.:patsch

Floyd fought twice in a 8 month period with Ortiz and Cotto...September and May.

Floyd fought twice in a 8 month period with Mosley and Marquez.

Floyd fought twice 7 month period....De La Hoya and Hatton.

50/50 is not fair...one fighter doubles his highest payday of $25,000,000 while another fighter gets what he made in his previous fight...$50,000,000...

Nope, not a fair deal at all.:deal

Do you think the two sides should have an accounting firm put the numbers together and compare? This is the best way as it would show what each fighter really does bring to the table.

I just think it's an awful argument that Canelo and Mosley brought in all of these extra PPV buys. Mora/Mosley with Canelo on the undercard fif god awful numbers. like 200 thousand.
