A smoking gun would be nice. Maybe a positive test or a source linking JMM to using some form of PEDs. Having Hernandez as a coach might cause red flags for some because of his sketchy past, but that's water under the bridge and this is boxing. Fighters are in the hurt business and its always a risk any time you step through the ropes to fight. Second guessing youself indirectly as a fighter by running with "rumors" that have no credibility automatically places the boxer at a mental disadvantage.

Just fight already. Stop making excuses to avoid a fight. Let the cheaters get caught...let the lies reveal themselves in their own time, but don't let a theory curb or shelf your career.

 

It's pretty simple. Any elite athlete is more than likely using PEDs these days, yes that includes Floyd, Pac, JMM, Canelo. It's part of the sport. Deal with it. There's millions to be made and boxers are not exactly model citizens. Pac was a street thief and is a gambler and known adulterer. Mayweather has a dysfunctional family and admitted his father beat him pretty hard growing up, has assaulted a woman. Taking roids is not exactly a risk for these guys. It's too easy to pass the laughable boxing tests, heck even the Tour de France tests which probably has one of the most stringent testing in any sport. Armstrong did it for at least seven years and NEVER failed a test YET everyone said it was god given talent, and he always played the innocent card. His fans believed him of course with all those stupid yellow bracelets.

 

If that's true then there is no use crying over something that's ingrained in the fabric of the sport. Bottom line is fighters need to do their business in the ring and let the people they have surrounding the direction of their career handle what's going on outside of it.

If no one at this level is clean, then no one is working with any unfair advantage which means there's no reason NOT to fight and the additional testing is a big waste of time, energy and money.

 

Exactly. It's all posturing for the sake of making more money. It's not about the fans, it's business. Mayweather will never fight Pacquiao for the simple reason Pacquiao is under Top Rank. DLH and Cotto didn't fight Mayweather until after they left Top Rank. Bob is too smart to put Manny in with Floyd. Floyd would school him.

I actually don't see it the way you do. I find that in the situation between Pac and Floyd, that its Floyd's actions that have prevented this fight from happening. Bob is Bob.....he likes to keep things in house but he hasn't been the main factor in keeping this fight just out if reach. Floyd on the other hand can't be given that pass.

I favor Floyd over Pac but I don't believe he'd school Manny. Floyd doesn't seem to feel Pac would be an easy nights work either.

Here we go again, the fight could have been made SEVERAL years ago but someone refused drug testing. It's that simple. Since then it's been posturing from BOTH sides. Need to build a new stadium, a cut that wouldn't heal for months, MGM is not big enough (yet that's where Manny's big fights are) .... Only Floyd eh?
