Pac never refused testing. He has always adhered to the requirements of the sport. When Floyd had his own testing requirements, Pac agreed. The issue was the blood testing which was very strange. Blood testing is logical post fight. Random Urine testing is logical throughout camp for a slew of reasons. It's non invasive, it costs less, and its the best way to catch any athlete who are trying to get away with doping. Had Floyd agreed to allow random urine testing like Pac agreed to, and moved off the blood testing up to the day of the fight...we would have already found out who the better fighter was. I didn't say Bob wasnt guilty of making negotiations difficult... He has, but compared to Floyd....its s drop in the bucket.
I wont debate with ******* alts. Manny could have slapped Floyd in the face by taking all tests without conditions (he is clean right?) and then beat Floyd in the ring. How much satisfaction would that have been to Arum, Pac and his fans like you? Yet, he didn't all because of a drug test.
Why did Floyd even need the tests? He didn't need to court USADA to come up with additional testing in the past. He didn't seem like he felt threatened before when the initial rumblings began about fighting Manny. In all reality, the chances are high that Floyd would've created another obstacle that prevented the fight from happening had Manny accepted all the demands. I tell you one thing....I wouldn't have been as willing to accept all of Floyds' demands after all the racial slurs, insults and accusations. Why didn't Floyd just man up, fight Pac with or without tests and back up everything he said prior to negotiating this fight? That would've been a great way to make a career high payday while earning the most significant win of his career.
There was a point when every aspect of the testing was met at a certain level of compromise, then Floid's team insisted on the "gold standard" which was to them no other than USADA, to which Arum subsequently flat out refused. In retrospect, Pac's team were vindicated--must've known something we did not know...
