I have never been to meadowbank, have you seen fights there before?

I am thinking of going, the cheapest seats are £40 the next are £50.
Whats the capacity and view like from these seats?
    Any help appreciated.

What will the odds be in both fighters?

And then on both fighters to win by stoppage?

Think I'll book my tickets today.

It's a win-win fight if you ask me, If Arthur wins I'll be delighted, if Guzman out-classes him as I expect - then I've seen one of the top p4p boxers in the world live.

Alex Arthur needs to be congratulated for taking on the best win or lose. His attitude is exemplary fighting Guzman as oppossed to trying to fought a less accomplished fighter. Guzman is a really top class fighter so if Alex wins he cannot be denied.

I have watched Arthur at Meadowbank before, it is a pretty good venue. I have bought the £40 tickets myself, which will be in the stands/bleachers. Had a fine view before, so I don't think the view will be a problem

The hall isn't massive when set out for boxing, so I'd guess the capactiy at about 3000 - 4000 or so. Meadowbank is pretty old school (and just been approved for demolition), so it is no thrills, but a decent venue all the same!

Never a more true word spoken:good

After Arturs last fight though he has to be a heavy underdog, i thought that Foster Jnr was made for him to look really good and he did in certain parts, but he is taking a gigantic leap in class and i think he is going to be found wanting.

I also think Guzman is in a different league althogether than Arthur, but I'll be cheering Alex on, even though I don't have hardly any hope of Alex emerging victorious.

I think Guzman is better in every department than Arthur. Boy, fighting Guzman is one hell of a hard assignment for your first title shot.

One thing's for sure & that's if Arthur were to pull off the upset (I very much doubt it) all the knockers wil have egg on their face.

Thats an understatement if ever I have read one.

man, I have been checking out some of the assorted forums recently & some of the hating I have been reading about Arthur is sickening. I actually read a post where someone said Guzman 'would be dancing on Arthurs corpse'

Sickening stuff, & I really hope Arthur wins, just to sicken the tisted sickos that pose as boxing fans nowadays.

AA is decent, I just cant see him as a world super featherweight champion, he certainly cant beat Joan Guzman, its a different level.

    Guzman TKO 11.

Would love the lil jock to prove me wrong but, meh...

Totally agree with you Dunky, i dont agree with you often but some of the vile and hateful things people say in the build up to fights sickens me, i've seen the fights in which Johnny Owen, Deuk-Koo Kim, Benny Paret and more recently Leavander Johnson have died from they're injuries and its a disgrace that people are sitting at they're computers and predicting a similar fate for Arthur .. For me this would be the biggest upset win for a British fighter since Turpin beat Robinson (Kirkland Laing beating Duran has to be up there too although Duran was a little out of condition, and of course Lloyd taking out Curry) but i cant see it, Arthur has never mixed in this kind of class before which is why i have to go with Guzman, who has Alex beaten to make people think he can beat Guzman ?? Alex's best chance is that Guzman has taken him lightely and only trained for 3 weeks, which has been known before in the past ..... Im goin for Guzman on points 10 rds to 2

People who say stuff like that are not boxing fans they are yobs disgraceful thing to say, nothing wrong with Arthur as a person, nice guy.

I have watched many Guzman fights and I really believe ths guy is top 3 pound for pound in world, messed up career apparently lack of discipline etc but give him the fights and he will do his job, his talent is absolutely immense.

Firstly, thanks for the kind words Axl. I know I cn be a **** on this forum, but I never ever wish any lasting harm on a boxer. I have too much respect for them all.

As for your comparison to Turpin v Robinson? I cannot help but think the Guzman hype train. is completely out of control.

Guzman is no SRR, but you wont find me putting up much of an argument as I am thoroughly enjoying watching everyone proclaim Guzman as one of the all time greats of today, so forgive me for sitting back & letting everyone proclaim Joan Guzman as the next great thing. My moment will come when Arthur wins, & I look forward to the moment immensely.

The sad fact is that many boxing fans are wankers pure and simple, just like at the football.
On a happier note, I think I'm going to come to this fight :D
Where about's is the venue in Glasgow? Think I'll be staying in Pollockshields, would be much obliged if some locals can give me some advice on getting there and back :good
