Nice article, but the guy's talentless. He gets knocked out by any half decent 135 out there.

    Good article reilly!

I think while Arthur should be able to do better at 135, he isn't going to get a title. The division is just too deep.

Sorry I`ve neglected this site recently. Craig is fighting Ivan Stovall on Thursday the 19th of february, the last two arranged bouts between the two having been cancelled. Stovall has been bad mouthing Craig, and indeed all Scots, on some small independent TV channel, via Youtube. He clearly thinks Craig is over-rated and fancies his chances. Stovall is trying to attract a promotion company and thinks that victory over a Golden Boy fighter will help his cause. By all accounts he "bulls" in and looks to get lucky with a good right hand. Craig will eat him alive.

He's arguably past his best already after losing to Gomez and Cook. As good as those two are these losses have already cast a shadow over a guy who was supposed to be on the verge of true world honours and show he is very vulnerable when fighting going backwards with his chin not always holding up.
It's hard to start afresh with the baggage he has. Ashame too 'cos even Calzaghe felt he would be the next big thing out of the UK. Hope he proves me wrong cos he is talented. Talented but tarnished.

Losing muscle isnt mad at all.

Too much muscle slows you down, increases your weight etc.

Im surprised people here dont realise this.

Great point Dunky, muscle mass means nothing .. Look at Bruno and Lacey, these guys were muscle men that could have used a bit more fluidity and speed in they're punching .. Muscle means nothing but i've never believed Alex Arthur has the talent to be a world class fighter and sadly he's proven me right. If you cant beat Nicky Cook how are you gonna face Guzman ??

ok axl .the fact is that guzman pulled out of afight with arthur.there was no reason he couldent have fought arthur,he was willing to take on guzman and didnt pull out .guzman pulled out,not arthur...or did you fail to remeber that?

arhtur lost fair and square to cook .on the night he claimed he was weight drained, and i have no reason to not believe him.the only reson he lost that fight is because his pride got in the way;not wanting to defend the title he won (albe it on default, but he fought everyone who was infront of him):hi:

quite the opposite, long distance running and cycling are the best ways to reduce muscle mass. i did loads of both in jan last year and dropped a stone and a half, a lot of which was bulk muscle..

about the article AAA was, is and always will be ordinary, upper domestic/european is as high as he will ever be. the fact he held a world strap shows all thats bad about boxing.
