Alex Arthur signs with Hatton and is out for success at lightweight

would any1 be suprised if this guy got a shot at the european belt imagine how bad it would be for murray he'd leave mick for sure if such an event were to pass

 

arthur a spent force now..was mince in his last two outtings..sad to see was a big fan of both arthur and harrison..both finished now due to different reasons scotlands loss :gsg

 

If Alex had stuck with 1 trainer then he would have achieved a lot more than he has. Fair enough he held a "world" title, but he never fulfilled the potential he had. If someone close to him gave him the hard truth then he could have achieved a lot more.

 

a three fight deal sounds like a last chance if he fails i hope he packs up

 

Well done Ricky, snapping up all the roaming talent like Strikeforce are in MMA. If he snaps them up and produces good youngsters then he could become a major force.

 

:goodpleased that Hatton promotions are taking the bull by the horns, signing fighters, getting them shots and making the old guard look over their shoulders

 

I think Alex really achieved well with his ability.
He had a decent jab, good straight puncher and good left hook, but I always felt he was robotic and predictable.

Scott Harrison was the one with real potential and the mindset to be a really top fighter, but look how that burned out.

 

IMO Hatton felt so bad about the whole Sombrerogate scandal, his guilt led him to sign up Alex arthur. Hatton wants to make it up to Alex.

alex has only himself to blame for changing his trainers so often,he left myself and peter harrison when he was still undeafeted and was looking a major force at the time and imo has never looked as good as that since.need to see how he comes back from a very lackluster performance against nigel wright its ok blaming the weight he put on after the weight in but its him thats placing the food in his mouth,reasponsability for your actions! still alex as been great for scottish boxing and wish him good luck.

 

Alex is done and was never that good to begin with. He's been living off the domestic star quality he had about 8 years ago.

 

Hatton is signing up everyone it seems, it can only be good for british boxing.
