yeah. a friend of mine lives in buenos aires and he sent me an email after he got back from the fight. he said this guy cesar rene cuenca has fought most of his career bouts in the arena where the fight was held and that the hometown boy got a gift from the judges...dejesus got jobbed big time, so bad sven ottke is red in the face. i would like to find a video of the fight so i can see for myself.
World ranked Alex ‘Pollo’ De Jesus (19-1, 13 KOs) of Puerto Rico was handed his first defeat by Argentinian Cesar Cuenca (36-0, 1 KO) last night in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Several sources who were present for the fight stated that De Jesus had Cuenca in trouble several times throughout the fight and deserved the decision. In the end however the judges (Argentina, Uruguay, and Brasil) scores were 116-112, 117-113, and 118-115 in favor of Cuenca by 12 round unanimous decision. With the win Cuenca is now the WBO Latino junior welterweight champion.
