Boytsov had lots of potential, but he had too many injuries and Universum screwed him over. He should find a good trainer, perhaps Roach, come to America................he was not able to be active enough, but if he gets back on track he could be a top contender. I read that Leapai will now be Vladimir Klitschko's mandatory, Vlad will murder him, talk about a mismatch........

Boytsov is certainly not a bum, but he got over hyped. Worse - he and his management apparently started to believe their own hype. Big mistake and one that clearly shows that even though you can hype up a boxer through the ranks, you can't make him a better fighter.

The match was just awful. This would be like hunting sloth with a shotgun for Wilder against either guy.:!:

You guys are severely underestimating the power and ferocity of Leapai, mark my words, in a H2H confrontation, he's a serious threat to ANY Heavyweight out there. The Klitschkos are superior boxers no doubt but when you're on top you become content and lose your inner fire while the HUNGRY lions are sharpening their claws and this psychological motivational factor should NOT be underestimated.

Leapai earned his shot at Klitschko. Most important, he knows how to box on the inside. Boytsov clinched a lot yesterday, but Leapai kept on landing bombs. I like his heart and he carries power. He can land some of that uppercuts on Wlad.

No he can't. Wlad is accomplished at nullifying any inside game and leapai will have a lack of leverage inside anyway. The fight would not go 4 rounds. It's not like he's especially durable or defensively savvy (which in fairness I rather like him for. He and Mike Mollo are always fun to watch).

I used to back Boytsov but lost the hope some years ago... Credit to Leapai for ending Boytsov.. Leapai clearly had more will and hungry to get the win.

Boytsov looked gracious on his first loss.
