Ricky should get rid of that arsehole Morrison

 

Stupid statement and poor PR.

Equally awful comment by Billy, that, whilst designed to boost his charges confidence, is disrespectful to Scotlands boxing greats.

But which is better?

There's only one way to find out......which one Ricky keeps?

 

I want this to carry on. I demand Billy releases a counter statement.

 

billy made a ridiculous comment but for all we know, maybe ricky needs that confidence boost given to him by his trainer backing him publicly. Maybe billy really believes it, maybe he's trying to help sell the fight and get headlines for ricky, at least he aint trying to big up laryea as an opponent.

Alba, I remember slaughtering Morrison on these forums through the years cos he was a complete twat who made outlandish statements that left me scratching my head in disbelief, one being Alex moaning in the papers about John Simpson cos Simpson had given up the booze! Hes had some other whoppers has old Alex, I still laugh when I went to the fight at the Pavillion & Morrison decided to take the mic & thank the fans for turning up, he was so shitfaced that he couldnt speak & just grumbled incoherently into the mic, much to everyones amusement

Thing is though when I had a pop at Alex Morrison, who came riding to his rescue defending him to the hilt? Thats right, a certain Billy Nelson

For the record, I think if Burns can keep winning & unify? Then I think its only fair that hes considered for the best ever scottish fighter award. He may not be just now, but hes certainly on the right path to the ultimate glory...

Lol, sadly not Decy, I gave up on Scotty ever making a comeback a long time ago! I still miss the hairy beast though, & what makes it worse is that he didnt get that defining fight... pure torture for me to this day! It wouldnt have bothered me if he got beat, its just the not knowing that kills me!

it is a bit of a strange comment 2 days before the title fight.

billy nelson has done a great job with ricky and the remaining moths of teh year are going to hard..........

1. burns vs fana is a hard fight but more than winnable for burns

2. cruz and martinez are having an eliminator , burns has to fight the winner by september

 

Don't know what Morrison's problem with. I've seen trainers spout far more far fetched stuff to the press about there fighter, it's nothing out the ordinary.

Morrison is the one that's damm lucky he he's still Burns's manager. He hardly looked after Ricky with some of the early fights he put him in.
