You're just saying that because he was a Tyson opponent.

Possibly because most of the ATG match-ups
Have been done multiple times over. But yeah,
    Alex Stewart is a reach...

I’ll only comment on two of them.

Luis Firpo- Stewart wins by knockout

Gene Tunney - Boxes circles around Stewart

Alex Stewart did not beat anybody of any note, and did not feature in the ed of year rankings ever (as far as I am aware).

He was probably not even the most successful heavyweight named Alex in that era!

Any success that he achieved against a top fighter of that era, is a mark against them, and possibly the era as well!

I don't see how the third sentence follows from the first two, or what any of this tells us about how he would fare against the likes of Firpo.

Stewart did well vs prime Holyfield and Moorer even in losing efforts, it's not a stretch to imagine that with his size advantage over most of those guys, he could come out looking better.

TBH, I think he'd look better, way better, against those opponents than the one's he fought in the 90s. Taking on Tyson, Holyfield, Moorer and company is a lot different than taking on those guys, especially since Stewart would have a good size advantage.

Surprised to read Stewart actually died in Mount Vernon, New York in November 2016 of a blood clot in his lung

What is Stewart's claim to be a top fighter in his own era?

If it doesn't stack up at the most basic level, then how the hell would you assume that he would beat the top fighters of another era?

At least the likes of Firpo, proved something in their own era!

Stewart may have gotten waxed by an early 90s Mike Tyson, but that version of Tyson was bigger and/or better than many on that list. Tunney is one that you can make an argument for to be just as good or better, but Tyson's size abd punching power advantage would make him more dangerous H2H than Tunney. Also, if he could give say prime Holyfield a tough fight, he'd probably do the same or better with Sharkey and if he could beat old Foreman to a pulp, he may batter Willard as well, even in a losing effort.
