outside of the Mayweather/Mosley/Pacquiao matchups, this is the fight I want to see more than any other else, bar none. Gary Shaw and Team Alexander are going back in forth in the media almost daily now. This is awesome. Their tones are very respectful and they both want the fight. There is no doubt that all parties involved are ready to move forward with this fight if they make it through their summer fights. Shaw has acknowledged there is no reason to wait for the fight to build. It's a big fight now, there will be money on the table now, what's the point in waiting? With Bradley getting HBO exposure in June and HBO having the bigger boxing budget and love of the 140 division, I would say it is highly likely this fight comes off in the fall on that network. I'm sure Showtime would put in a good bid, though. This is a battle. I got Alexander all the way but it's as close to a pick 'em fight as their can be.
Winner of this fight versus Pacquiao in PAC's final fight before retiring is just awesome and for the lineal undisputed 140 division title.
Would be an all out war...Both very fast, improved punching power and strong counter punching skills for Alexander but great workrate and constant pressure for Bradley + good footwork...Im going with Bradley in this one in a close UD...But VERY tough to call...Would'nt be surprised if Alexander wins...
IMO I think Alexander should get him another fight before challenging Bradley...Maybe its just be but Bradley would give Alexander the business...I know Alexander has came along way and I dont see what he can bring to table that will frustrate Bradley...at least not now.
The smart thing to do would be to build this fight more. Neither guy is a big name and they're just starting to get exposure, but I would personally like to see it now if possible.
The winner of this fight is the man to carry boxing after Pacquiao, Floyd, Hopkins and Mosley have retired. I believe it will be Alexander. :smoke
The last time Bradley fought a southpaw, he only averaged 55 punches a round. If it's a southpaw issue that he has, then Alexander has a VERY good chance of winning. I see this as about a 50/50 fight, and it gets me excited. I think both guys can go on to do great things, win or lose.
Who are they going to build their names against? They really only have each other to launch one of them into stardom. It's not like Hatton, Marquez or Pacquiao will fight them. They could fight 100 more dangerous opponents without a name and the fight wouldn't be much bigger than it is now.
Could be specially if the winner of this fight will be given a chance to fight Pacquiao for the lineal undisputed 140 division title. That would be awesome to see a young turk defeating the retiring Pacquiao.
