Zab blew his big chances at 147 so why should he get another big chance? I understand what all of u are saying but Zab needs to work his way up at 140. He's old, Alexander and Bradley are the future. Not dissing Zab just sticking with the facts. Again not arguing with any of you I respect y'all just saying what I believe.
But who are those fighters? Fighting now would probably stunt the growth of their popularity, because most likely there won't be too many name opponents to fight later on.
I could see Marquez fighting one of them if the money is good enough. Right now it's not, but it might be down the line. Also, Amir Khan is a decent money fight, and neither one is a big enough puncher that Papa Freddie will make him avoid the fight.
I understand and agree with what you're saying. I would rather see the Alexander-Bradley fight myself, but a potentially shot Judah would help his build his name. Casual fans won't recognize that Zab is past it at this point.
Marquez is viewed as being past it right now. Outside of Khan, there doesn't appear to be many big name opponents for these two in the future unless they can rebuild Victor Ortiz. If Lamont Peterson gets back out there then that might be another one, but there aren't too many guys. If you could build all five of them, it would build more hype and success for boxing.
Yeah I agree that could boost his name but I hate when young fighters use older fighters as stepping stones. The last thing I want Zab to become is a journeyman regardless whether I like him or not. But then again boxing is cruel to the older fighters so I can't blame young fighters for wanting recognition by beating fighters with a name that happen to be older.
I hate seeing that myself, but unfortunately that's what they do sometimes. I like Judah and Marquez and I wouldn't want to see these fights, because I wouldn't want them to get embarrassed if they're too far past it.
I rather Marquez face Morales for a farwell to boxing fight as morbid as I may sound. I though Marquez/Hatton would do just that but I was wrong. As for Judah, he gets his moments then just loses focus during his fights. The only fights of Zab that are painful to watch that I saw is the Cotto and to an extent the Mayweather fight in my opinion.
I think we all want Alex-Bradley but I wouldn't mind seeing him take on Zab first in a nice homecoming fight. I agree Zab hasn't done much lately but he's always in exciting fights win or lose and is still a decent name on your resume. I think his style will cause Alexander some problems especially early on.
Marquez and Morales might be kind of nice. I don't know if it's physically or mentally, but Judah always seems to fall apart under pressure.
why are we talking about Judah in this thread? hes yesterdays news, these 2 are the future the fight needs to happen now before Alexander gets one of his titles stripped of him and before bradley moves up to 147
I say mentally. Physically Zab comes up in shape but just doesn't show the determination to win later in fights which really is mental.
