Round 4

Big uppercuts whipped in to the body by Brand. Right hand up top after Acosta taunts him, trying to act like the body shots didn't bother him. Brand throws a high hook, over-committed and sailing over Acosta's head. Double jab, right hand worked by Brand over and over. Acosta starting to find a home for his chopping right as Brand gets a bit wild dipping in and swinging loosely.

Round 5

Acosta is still getting his right hand in as Brand is winding in and reeling back with his sloppy assaults. Quick power combo upstairs by Brand, driving Acosta back. Acosta kicks one foot out across the other and gallops sidelong around the ring to stay clear of Brand. Shoulder roll being adopted now by Brand. Acosta jabs out at him and chops with a right. Big left hook by Acosta, cuffing with his wrist wrapping around the back of Brand's head. Brand misses a right to the body as Acosta twists it in serpentine fashion and stays off the ropes. Another hook by Acosta.

Round 6

Brand is swinging for the fences. Big slider rights up top and left hooks whistling in over the shoulder. Acosta is getting pushed to the ropes and covering up, as Brand drops some power to the body. Acosta is coming forward with his high guard up but feet too close together, poorly balanced and throwing wild jabs that don't touch down. Counter hooks inside by Brand, still wild.

Round 7

Acosta is knocked back by a jab and right hand to the brow. Acosta is teetering as he hugs the ropes, and then moving in to tie up. Not looking good. Brand just keeps windmilling shots at him, and getting grabbed while throwing. Double jab and right hand to the head by Brand, stretching out to reach Acosta as he ducks in front of him. Right hand over the top by Brand. Acosta is in the corner, flopping around, and manages to force a break call as he stamps his back into Brand. Right hand through the gloves by Brand. Wild hook by Acosta misses. Clinch. Brand circles left, jabbing and throwing right uppers at as close to a flat angle as they can get and still be uppers.

Round 8

Brand is throwing left jabs and right hands across at Acosta, making him back up to the ropes or toss his arms out wide to grab. A few attempts to counter by Acosta, missing. Brand is circling and just letting his hands go, straight shots mostly, a few leaping hooks, very loose.

Round 9

Acosta is getting slammed back to the ropes every time Brand puts a right hand out past his lead hooks or jabs. Acosta is trying to time Brand but not getting off. Big flurries by Brand, and Acosta nestles in against him and ties up until a break. Brand slaps down with a 1-2 against Acosta's guard. Right plug to the body by Brand, falling in on his man as he backs to the ropes and curls into a ball. Acosta tries to jab back at him but gets lightning-flurried back into the ropes, bending his back. Brand forces Acosta to sit on the middle rope while under fire, just before the bell.

Round 10

Brand doubles his jab and whips a right to the body. Brand stumbles and almost does a somersault throwing a punch. Down. Slip. Brand circles left and leaves a breadcrumb trail of jabs across Acosta's face. Clinches as Acosta moves forward without an offensive gameplan. The ref has his work cut out for him. Brand keeps waving his left jab around, circling away, playing it safe. Oh, and there's a big right hand by Brand. Another from the hip. Driving Acosta to the ropes. Brand spins his right fist around like a pistol. Acosta is pushed to the ropes and tries to hook his way off but Brand has already danced back out of the way. Jabs by Brand. Chopping right. Acosta in a corner. Might get stopped, but only a minute left. Nope, Acosta's able to hold. Brand throws a right hand and Acosta gets under it, getting caught willingly in a headlock. Break. Another clinch. Break. Acosta waves some jabs at Brand.
