According to espn and a russian boxing site Chisora AND Dimitrenko are in talks with Wlad for his fight in Dec 11th. If they both refuse then Mormeck will be considered again.

I know people knew about Chisora for a while now, but I didnt hear about Dimitrenko yet. People were asking why Wlad didnt consider fighting Dimitrenko, I guess WLad heard them :D

ANyways, I think that Dimitrenko would be a better fight

*Dimi* has lost his crediblity when Chambers beat him, and then Wlad put Chambers to sleep after ten rounds of domination.

Chisora is unknown, but he's undefeated, a big legit heavyweight, who looks to be in decent condition, and who also brings an *uncertain* element of threat to the fight............Chisora is the MUCH more credible choice, in my opinion. Even more than the just recently turned heavy, Mormec.

Dimitrenko lost to Chambers, yes. But he beat Krasniqi and Hoffmann. Very known names. CHisora beat Williams and Sexton. Only williams was known. Plus Dimi has twice as many fights which is a plus. He has experience.
Chisora has only 14 fights. Thats sure as hell not gonna give Wlad any credibility if he wins. First excuse would be he beat a green unexperienced fighter.

I dont remember a fighter fighting the best in his division only in his 15th fight.

:goodAs I always hear that Wlad only wins because of his size, I'd also like to see him fight a guy as tall or taller than him, so I agree with you--Dimi fits the bill. Chisora is not going anywhere if Wlad wants to fight him at a later date. Sascha has more experience against better oppostion as well.

I agree. Why this fight interests me is because of Dimi's size mostly. Plus he has some experience.
Thats why Valuev for me would be the most interesting fight that Wlad could make. More so than Haye. WIth Haye you know how WLad will fight: tall. With Valuev you have no idea.

Ya, but he's fought plenty of big guys (Jefferson, McCline, Austin, Thompson, etc...), the size thing is just something haters like to bring up, fighting one more big fighter isn't going to change their tune.

Sadly for Wlad he doesn't have hope to gain much with anybody. But every fight gives SOMETHING. Another defense in the books at the least. Against Dimi, the complaint that he has a large big height/reach/natural weight advantage over most of his opponents from detractors would give him something. But, really, Chambers embarrassed Dimitrenko. That was not a close fight beside one judge scoring it a "German draw". Dimitrenko isn't very good, but he's at least solid, and he'd be one of the few name guys out there for him if he'd actually take it.

I agree that Alexander Dimitrenko is the better match and for more than a few reasons. He has fare more ring experience, along with the sort of size and physical attributes needed to match Wlad. The problem, is that Wlad can only face those who are willing to meet him in the ring, and right now, none of the more premier challengers are stepping to the plate.

Great news... Chambers executed a great fight plan against Dimitrenko... doesn't mean he is a bad fighter.

This will be much better than the Chisora fight

Well, a fighter can comeback from a bad loss. Dimi did against some opponent. I thought he looked decent. Maybe that was a night off for him?:huh

Agree. And Chambers could beat anyone in the division except for Klitschko, and Haye. Does this mean that anyone who loses to Chambers cant fight Wlad?:think

He can come back, and has done that. But it really was an outclassing. He did not know what to do. As far as technical skill is concerned, he's under Eddie's class. ...If we could just put Eddie's skill with Dimitrenko's size...and Valuev's body hair...ATG!

    Spinks - Ali???

The truth is, fighters sometimes don't get more ready with more fights. Povetkin should have taken his title shot, he would have lost, but he won't improve by fighting more opponents who are two classes below Wlad. There is noone out ther to get a contender ready for the Klitschkos, they are too much above the rest. Dimitrenko was hurt against a 40 year old Hoffmann and won mostly because of better stamina, he landed a lucky punch against Krasniqi. He showed no will to win against Chambers and crumbledunder his punches. An unknown fighter like Chisora might be a surprise and perhaps has tons of heart or some quality that wasn't seen before. What Dimitrenko would bring is very predictable.

Dimitrenko is the better match. Unlike Chisora, Dimitrenko has been a contender for a whiel and has experience fighting world-class opposition. His size could pose problems for Wlad.

However, Wlad is under no obligation to face a guy like Dimitrenko as a voluntary. He can fight Chisora if it will raise his profile and put pressure on Haye to take the unification bout.

Didn't see this coming as it looked like Dimitrenko was going to wait the Klits out and fight Sosnowski next.

Chambers couldnt beat Povetkin, remember? I don't think he would beat Adamek, Boytsov or Chagaev either. Anyway, i hope Wlad fights Dimitrenko.
