Wilson is pushing himself up off his heels and throwing wild left hooks and overhand rights. Gomez is just batting him back and scoring his right jab or holding it out Wladimir-style as a skewer. Wilson knocked back to the ropes by a left. More wild swings by Wilson.

Round 3

Gomez is still controlling with his right jab. Wilson isn't able to get near him but keeps trying and getting his skull dented with jabs. Wilson now circles like a vulture, unwilling to come forward without his hands up in an offensively useless guard position.

30-27 Gomez

 

Round 4

Gomez is coasting, taking relaxed steps to his right and flicking out his right jab as though he was watering his garden. No worry on Gomez's part. Sparring session. Wild low-cutting swings by Wilson are easily sidestepped or backed away from. Wilson is breathing through his mouth heavily. Gomez is still landing right hooks off his jab. Nice left uppercut now, backs Wilson up.

40-36 Gomez

 

Round 5

Wilson is getting a bit closer, and landing some body shots. It's still 90% Gomez landing the right jab and looking mostly relaxed, although Wilson is making him a bit nervous with his body shots and some dangerously close overhand rights whipping just a few centimeters from Gomez's face. They share a knowing grin as Wilson nearly knocks himself off balance loading up and missing a big shots while chasing Gomez. Wilson is trying for the KO and Gomez is well aware of it.
