I took under 8.5 rounds. I guess I overestimated Dimitrenkos punching power and underestimated Sprott's ability to survive. I really thought the guy was completely shot.

That was close to a 10-8 round for Sprott. He kicked Dimintrenko's ass that runde.

    Round 6

Dimitrenko is throwing long jabs and missing but keeping Sprott from advancing, all while circumnavigating him in one full revolution after another. About a minute in Sprott finally starts to rip away with some high left hooks trying to catch Dimitrenko on the way by. Clinch. Dimitrenko has yet to start really cleanly landing his jab, and Sprott has yet to get through with any of his stretched-up power shots. Dimitrenko just keeps bouncing in place and jabbing. Sprott lands a body shot. 1-2 by Dimitrenko hits glove. Sprott peerrs between his thumbs at Dimitrenko. Sprott blocks a 1-2 and lands a hook. Sprott slips a couple of jabs now, and jabs down at Dimitrenko's trunks (which are hiked up too far, btw). Dimitrenko flurries and falls to his knees while leaning against Sprott as the shorter man backs out.

    10-9 Sprott

    59-55 Dimitrenko

Wow, for a main event, the crowd pretends like they are watching the Masters. You could hear a pin drop in the arena.

:good First clear one for him IMO. If this is a sign of a "takeover" it could get very tough for Dimitrenko in the deeper waters.

Remember that he looked awful late against Sosnowski before the KO punch.

    Round 6 Sprott
    56 - 58 Sprott

Sprott caught and stunned Alex with a sharp right and followed it up with a left hook when Alex moved back, was able to land the left hook another time as well, and had Alex grimmencing to the body. Alex caught a nice uppercut later but I gave the round to Sprott.

    Round 7

Dimitrenko is jabbing and changing directions every half revolution as he circles wide. Sprott stands perfectly still and waits for Dimitrenko to become a stationary target before spearing at him with triple high jabs. Dimitrenko rolls his shoulders and tries to get Sprott to react before throwing up his own jab from the hip. Sprott doesn't bat an eyelash, 100% cool as a cucumber as he lets Dimitrenko dance around and waste energy. STIFF jab by Sprott, turns Dimitrenko's head back sharply. Sprott crouches inside and then drifts back with his head and its attached guard leaning to one side as Dimitrenko feints with the jab. Dimitrenko jabs and hits glove.

    10-9 Sprott

    68-65 Dimitrenko

Dimitrenko would lost in a brutal fashion. Arreola is not a great technician but he can bang. Dimitrenko's too weak mentally and has bad defence. Not a good combination when you fight a brawler like Arreola. Definitely good fight for fans and odds would be good enough to win some money. Arreola by KO.
