Round 1

Keleş is coming straight down the pipe with the jab. Garrido is the first to start moving laterally, catching his unawares opponent early with a few tidy hooks and jarring him to alertness. Keleş is working the 1-2 and brushing Garrido's mohawk with a long reach-in jab, then hiding behind the high guard. Body shots from Garrido, pummeling beneath Keleş' elbows. Keleş throws a 1-2, blocked, and tries a looping right on the body to follow up only to be driven away by a Garrido surge of head shots from a partial crouch. Garrido barely makes contact with a jab, playfully reaching in past Keleş' arms, then swooning outside to dodge Keleş' flurry. Big sweeping hook by Garrido misses. They connect jabs simultaneously at the bell.

Not at this rate, IMO. Despite the cheers of the Hamburgers whenever Keleş did, well, anything, it was pretty clear for the Frenchie.

 

Round 2

Keleş is being walked across the ring by a persistent duck-inside, spring-up move by Garrido accompanied by a hard, wind-dragging lead uppercut. Keleş is whipping his right underhanded into the belt line of Garrido while backing up and pawing some jabs into the air. Garrido is able to raise his left in time to spin a few light hacking overhand rights from Keleş off the back of his wrist. Garrido now comes in slashing with both arms, Keleş backing himself into the ropes and then pivoting away, keeping very wide of Garrido.

This is about to become the best stretch of time for the French, in terms of combative victories, since the Bonaparte days (pre-Waterloo), between the exploits of Guerfi, Soro, Mimoune, Vitu, Mohoumadi, and Moussaouio in the last couple of months, Duhaupas & Mendy last Thursday, and now this.

 

Round 3

Garrido is showing no respect for Keleş' jab, riding it as he bows forward on the march, letting it skid off his temples and upper ears. Garrido working lead uppercuts on the body and turning over hard left hooks leads, headhunting and pushing Keleş across the ring. Keleş trying to pry him off with a crowbar-like planked right hand but is forced to relent ground time and again.

Round 4

Keleş is providing a percussive instrument for Garrido, leaving his ribs exposed while backpedaling. Garrido obliges and keeps drumming a steady beat, switching to high cymbal-crash hooks at the head when Keleş is skirting the ropes. Garrido tags Keleş skipping carelessly sideways along the ropes with a lead right, snapping his head back. Garrido keeps plugging the body while Keleş pumps ineffectual straight counterpunches while circling.

Weird how excited the Turkish TV commentator sounds calling this.

Fātiḥ Keleş* is the Turkish one in the ring right now. (and, I think, probably the sole reason this is even being aired by TV8.5 in his native land)



*apparently this is pronounced "Farty Garage", which I can't stop laughing over.

 

...okay, it sounds more like "Garesh", tbf, but "Farty Garage" is just wonderfully evocative so that's how it is gonna stick in my mind.
