Keleş is blocking jabs on the high guard backing up, scuffing his feet. Keleş lazily buoys himself off the ropes to jumpstart a sprint past Garrido and is caught by a few line drive rights and hooks before covering up again. Keleş mostly just defending (and not overly well, at that). Garrido keeps pressuring, ripping the body when he can, and peppering Keleş' brow (and the back of his head when it is exposed) with whatever little bits & pieces of leather he can lay on him.

Nah, when he says it fast it's definitely "Garage".

His moniker should be "HotBox".

Or he can relocate to the Netherlands and base himself there for the rest of his career as "The Dutch Oven".

 

Round 6

Keleş is getting strapped across the head with right hands now, bending forward to suck air as a result of Garrido's consistent body work and unable to take evasive action very quickly anymore. Garrido is forcing Keleş into corners where the action becomes somewhat more nip & tuck, with Keleş managing to hack and slash his way free of the corner in between curling up into a tight ball, which Garrido finds impenetrable. The medium range definitely suited Garrido better, he's getting countered as often as he lands when he bullies Keleş into the corner.

Round 7

Keleş is jogging back a few steps, briefly planting his feet to regain his balance and lob out an almost backhanded wrist-flicking 1-2 into Garrido's guard and then resuming his flight. Garrido is pushing ahead, pinning his gloves together when not firing or when absorbing a light 1-2 from Keleş, leaning back for momentum to slingshot himself in with heavy uppercuts and chops once he's atop Keleş.

Giulio Piras just put his pencil down raised a hand to inform the commissioner that he is finished and would like a hall pass and to be excused from the exam room.

Round 8

Keleş is getting cracked all over the chest, stomach and neck by Garrido uppercuts. Keleş manages to turn Garrido and free himself with a double jab, prompting the commentator to yell "BRAVO, FARTY GARISH!", even as Garrido once again pins him on the ropes with hooking body shots and drives a series of hard uppercuts into his core.

This might be the best I've ever seen Le Lion look.

He seems to really want win #20 today (and/or really doesn't want loss #18..)

 

Round 9

Keleş is fatigued but so is Garrido. The cat and mouse game continues. Garrido is throwing sloppier and sloppier overhand combos at the head, and Keleş is blocking the majority of them - but is also getting tagged with a few too many, getting rocked against the ropes and forced to gallop away frequently. Very messy action, Garrido falling into Keleş, face buried in his stomach as he gores him into the ropes. Keleş is countering with downward slaps and trying to initiate clinches. Garrido missing hooks at a much higher rate than in the first eight frames, just winging them and not even reaching Keleş' face, no longer able to gauge distance well or summon the energy to reach his target. Garrido does seem to have Keleş hurt with about 45 seconds left and chases him diagonally across the ring into a corner but Keleş seems to have his wits about him, false alarm. Very messy the rest of the way.

Round 10

Keleş is posting up at the corners and whipping out the uno y dos, hoping Garrido will run into them face-first. Well, the plan works...sort of. Garrido isn't worried about Keleş' shots in the least, soldiering through them to get in his own. BIG hook dropped from up above cheek level by Garrido, violently jerking Keleş' face around. Keleş ties up. Garrido is windmilling now, pressing Keleş into the ropes. Keleş runs. Garrido slaps the body a bit and starts windmilling up top again. Keleş is cowed into a corner. Keleş grabs Garrido around the waist and is forced to break by the ref. Garrido runs in and lances Keleş on the face with a right hand.
