HEAVYWEIGHT Champion: Agit KABAYEL - Chall Alexander DIMITRENKO Parties in private negotiations https://www.boxebu.com/s/situation-of-the-titles/ebu-situation-of-the-titles-103.html
i watched dimetrenko v parker and what dimetrenko did shows he no longer has any ambition also was the eqivelent of footableer taking a dive . the fight will not be entertaing the styles of the fighters require someone to come at them to make them throw a lot of punches / here you have 2 fighters who like to fight on the outside / neither has any power / kabayel will win bec\use he is fresher and has more ambition and will to win . kaybayel has no power though so unless dimetrenko is now so far gone he should lose on points. i would have picked dimetrenko when he was younger . rolling around on the floor trying to get your opponent D/Q put me off him.
Kabayel gets a decision here. He doesn't have enough power to edge Dimitrenko, but he is technically far better. Dimitrenko really surprised the world when he won against Granat, but the difference is Granat was never tested. Kabayel already got a good win against Chisora so he is a little more proven than Granat.
Maybe Dimitrenko's stunning win over Granat may have motivated him and given him a boost of confidence.
Dimitrenko is a very weak-minded fighter but that makes him sympathetic to me. I wish they'd throw him in with David Price. The two share a similar psychology, would be a treat to watch. Having said that, Kabayel takes this, maybe by late stoppage.
Another good test for Kabayel, Dimitrenko proved that he's still dangerous for prospects. Agit's matchmaking (for a young guy with very little amateur experience) has been excellent in the last couple of years.
No, I like good matchups in boxing only. Dimitrenko vs. Price would be a perfect cross-roads fight for talents whose careers have turned into trainwrecks. No need to get emotional over my post.
