Alexander Gustafsson vs. Glover Teixeira & Misha Cirkunov vs. Volkan Oezdemir RBR

I'm not used to doing RBRs live in a notepad while trying to retain focus, so excuse all of the typos...

 

Slower start to this round... Both men are feeling the pace, Alhassan is the aggressor but he's not doing anything... then both trade against the fence, Akhemedov would be smart to start peppering away from the backfoot.. He has a gass man in front of him... Akemedov shots for another takedown, this time Alhassam uses his Judo to reverse position and both guys are back to their feet... Alhassan tags Akemedov with some BIG shots... Appears to have his second win as he's walking Akemedov down and tagging Akjemedov at will, but then his takedown defense lets him down once against again and Akhemedov guts out another takedown... Now he's peppering away with small shots from full mount... Alhassan isn't even trying to get up... 1 1/2 to go and Alhassan needs to d something big or else he's going to lose this fight. Suddenly with a minute to go Al Hassan explodes out and back to his feet.. He needs to let it all go and push for a KO... Akemedov hoots for a takedown but Hassan sprawls against the fence, where with 30 seconds to go Akemedov looks to ride the position out and look for another takedown until the final bell rings. 10-9 Akemedov

Can't believe this one went the distance!

 

30-27 twice for Akemedov and 29-29 Alhassan... Akemedov wins a SD. WTF was that other judge looking at?

 

Ben Saunders vs. Peter Sobotta - 3 rounds at Welterweight

 

Sabotta clips and hurts Saunders with a big overhand left... Saunders is hurt but c clears the cob webs pretty quickly... Not they're standing pawing at each othr in the center of the octagon.. Saunder lands a nice right hand, high kick combo against the cage but Sobotta blocked it. Sobotta tags an aggressive Saunders with a few light jabs and hands as he pushes forward, Saunders is cut near one of his eyes.. with two minutes to go he's walking forward and cracking Sobiotta with kicks to the body. Saunders hits Sabotta with a knee to the body, looks like Sabotta is taking a breather... that or Saunders body attack is starting to take its toll... All of a sudden Sabotta drops Saunders with a huge right hand! Saboota pounces and tries to finish a hurt Saunders with ground and pound, but Saunders does well to regain his senses and has sabotta tied up in his guard.

Saunders looks like he's recovered well and starts to paw with the jab, Sabotta cracks him with a nice kick to his leaf leg. Saunders stings him with a stiff jab, Saboota returns fire a 20 seconds or so later with a nice kick to the body... Saunders is hurt! he's out on his feet! Sabotta just needs to pick his shots and Saunders is out of there. Saunders is looking to clear the cobwebs and paw with the jab again... Saunders is still out on his feet... Sabotta folds Saunders like an accordian! Saunders somehow gets back up only to be dropped by a knee until the ref mercifully stops it.

 

Saunders took a scary amount of damage before finally going out.

 

Misha Cirkunov vs. Volkan Oezdemir - 3 rounds at Light-heavyweight

 

What the hell happened????? Need to see a replay on that.

 

Cirakov got reckless and got caught with a flucky shot... Nice upset, but not really a conclusive result.
