:yep Leapai's regular choices of sparring partners did nothing to help. I said ages ago Leapai was badly trained and time wil show badly managed.
Bowe and Holmes did defend their titles against some truly awful opponents that were perhaps arguably on a similar level to Leapai. Ferguson was a journeymen when he fought Bowe as was Mike Weaver when he fought Holmes. But Holyfield, Tyson and Lewis never defended their titles against anyone half as bad as Leapai. Yes they fought some journeymen but never in a title fight.
Agree on it. Lewis' worst title opponent was Phil Jackson, even Jackson was slightly better that Leapai. Others were far better. Holy and Tyson never had suck a weak opponents in title fights. That being said, it's not Wlad's fault. He had to defend the title or lose it. Leapai is the worst Wlad's challenger, far worse than Charles Shufford and even worse than old Mormeck.
