Alexander Petkovic vs. Chup-aki Chipindi & Juan Carlos Gomez vs. Adnan Buharalija RBR

Wow. Pantera hasn't been at cruiser (his ideal weight class) in eleven years.

 

Round 1

Gomez is popping right jabs into Buharalija's forearms, poking him on the forehead with a couple as he snaps them more forcefully with a lean inside. Gomez circles and casually drops in jabs, stretching his arm out fully and not having to surrender much distance to score with the jab. Slapping right hook on the face by Gomez, again from well outside. Brief clinch as Buharalija spreads his arms to encircle Gomez's waist. Body and head jabs by Gomez. Buharalija fires up his own right jab propelling off his back heel, springing up and into Gomez diagonally and missing as Gomez slides out of reach. Another flailing half-attack half-clinch-attempt by Buharalija diving in through some right slap-hooks. Gomez counters down the middle with a perfect straight left hand lead. Buharalija is down hard. He gets to his feet, and Gomez flurries. Buharalija saved by the bell.

It was definitely either

"I'm gonna kill him! "

or

"I'm gonna make a killing! "



...and it seems now the latter.

 

Round 2

Combos to body and head by Gomez, digging the right hook into Buharalija's ribs to double him over and then slamming him with short straight lefts and uppercuts. Buharalija holds and then hits on the break with a big uppercut, loading up with a big drawn-back motion behind his back. It only grazes as Gomez scoots outside. No warning from the ref. Diving superman left hand up top by Buharalija, grazing. Pause to check tape on Buharalija's right glove. Time in. They tap right gloves and resume. Body thumping combination by Gomez after parrying Buharalija's arms away to discourage a clinch attempt. Overhand lefts above the ear and right hooks to the body by Gomez as Buharalija smothers him shoving inside. BIG 1-2 by Gomez. Buharalija is down on hands and knees. He rises. BIG left by Gomez. Another. Buharalija tries to hold and is knocked back. Combination by Gomez, moments left on the clock, Buharalija's head bouncing around...waved off!

TKO2!!

 

That is only the fifteenth time Buharalija was stopped. :!:
