Povetkin deserves to fight Joshua and here is why:
-Povetkin did better in the olympics than Wilder. Povetkin got gold while Wilder had bronze.
-Povetkin is more proven and has fought better opposition than Wilder.
-Povetkin didn't avoid prime Wladimir Klitschko, like Wilder did.
-Povetkin recently went to UK to get knockout win over their boxing star David Price and builded his british profile. While Willder turned down to fight british boxing star Dillian Whyte.
-Povetkin is perfectly fine to fight Joshua in the UK.
-Povetkin doesn't ask for rematch contract like Wilder.
-Povetkin is willing to fight Joshua with less than 10 million, unlike Wilder who turned down 15 million offer.

Also, Povetkin will be a much tougher fight for Joshua than Wilder would have been

Leaning towards Povetkin to win this

lol i had to laugh after this "Povetkin recently went to UK to get knockout win over their boxing star David Price"

Pricey is a nice guy but he is a club level boxer.....with a glass chin.

Couple of points are completly nonsens too

Don't know what the medal they won has to do with deserving a fight in 2018 or not

The best point at your list might be the better opposition and prime Wlad ....

Apart from that...nonsens list, nonsens topic imo

It doesn't matter who is deserving it more or less at this point

FACT: WILDER HAS THE BELT. And it's the most prestigious belt out there. So of course Wilder isn't fighting for peanuts here. And of course he isn't giving up the home advantage for nothing.

I don't like Wilder either but i doubt it's that easy to explain why the fight Joshua vs Wilder isn't happening or Wilder doesn't deserve the fight...

It's very debatable that Povetkin faced better competition than Wilder.

    Povetkin Best wins:
    Eddie Chambers (30-0)
    Ruslan Chagaev (27-1-1)
    Marco Huck (34-1)
    Manuel Charr (26-1)
    Mariusz Wach (31-1)

    Wilder Best Wins:
    Bermane Stiverne (24-1-1)
    Luis Ortiz (28-0)
    Johann Duhaupas (32-2)
    Artur Szpilka (20-1)
    Gerald Washington (18-0-1)

Povetkin didn't face a prime Wlad either. Wlad at 37 was already past his prime. The last time Wlad was prime was most likely against David Haye, which was several years before the Povetkin fight. Also, Wilder wasn't even a contender when Wlad was in his prime, so claiming Wilder ducked a prime Wlad is laughable.

Also, if beating David Price was Povetkin building a British profile than Wilder and Povetkin are even, since Wilder Knocked out Audley Harrison in the U.K., Joshua was present for. Wilder didn't need to fight Whyte and would've gained nothing by knocking him out.

Povetkin doesn't have a choice. He has no leverage to negotiate with Joshua and knows it. Joshua could easily skip over Povetkin just like he did Ortiz and Povetkin would be left in the cold.

Wilder is an undefeated champion in his prime and there is a lot of public demand to see him fight Joshua. Povetkin on the other hand is past his prime and there is very little public demand to see him fight Joshua even if it turns out to be a competitive fight. Wilder has leverage to negotiate with Joshua while Povetkin has none.

Chagaev and Byrd alone are better than anyone Wilder has faced.

I am a big believer in karma and given Wilder stitched up Povetkin by running away from his fight over a made up drug irregularity it is a bit of poetic justice that Povetkin is going to get the payday Wilder probs will miss out on...

That a Donald Trump FACT? lol only Wilder and his most loyal fan bois pull out the ole "most prestigious belt" line.

FACT: AJ isn't really going to suffer too much by not fighting Wilder he will still make top coin fighting who ever plus he has rematches with Whyte/Parker not to mention Fury, I'd imagine guys like Uysk et all will all be revenue earners for him in the future...

Wilder on the other hand has just blown his biggest payday which he has absolutely no other options to get remotely close to that money..

Pretty much explains why one side has moved on and the other is still posting boy in the hood gansta talk angry rants all over Twitter.

It will be funny when he fights Breazeale and his purse is revealed for 1.5-2 million.

Let's be real, for the average man on the street that's a life changing amount of money and we have to be realistic and honest, it's still huge money.

But when you could have earned maybe 10x more and you call it "peanuts" and "crackhead money" then you look a right bellend, completely delusional and out of touch with your own reality.

be real hilarious if Povetkin wins. then he is A side and Wilder would have to still go to Russia if he wants to unify.

A Donald Trump fact is always a strong fact so probably YES, it's a DONALD Trump fact.
I am not a fan of Wilder and i am not thinking he has any chance to beat AJ but still the WBC belt is the most prestigious one. We can open a poll here if you want some evidence.

I agree with the second, third and fourth part of your post.

Opening a poll here is proof lol... FACT!!

Really its the most prestigious in Americas eyes but not so much to the majority of the worlds population..

Personally I think Wilder has a good chance of beating AJ, he has that right hand which no one seems to be able to avoid which is a game changer..

Makes his team even more stupid as they obviously hedging all their bets to get retirement money out of AJ but because of their greed they are missing the chance to become undisputed and possibly future Mayweather money..

Personally he should have taken what ever he was offered and planed for the future if he was so confident of winning..
