He hasn't lost a round as far as I'm aware.

Against Byrd, he will fair much as Ike did. His combination of pressure and good infighting skills will fluster Byrd and lead to a wide decision.

Maybe a round on a scorecard, but from what I have seen, he hasn't. Against Byrd, he will probably lose a few, but still come away with a clear decision.

If he's world class, the Byrd fight will make it known, cause Byrd is still proabaly able to beat 8 out of the current top ten.

Byrd will certianly test Povetkin, and then some.

I am not real well versed on Povetkin, as I've only seen bits of a couple fights, but I am leaning towards Byrd by decision.

Good fight, though. One I am looking forward to.

I watched him vs. Friday Ahunanya and I gave round two to Friday. Other than that, he's swept every round.

I also think Friday may have taken a round or two but at any rate, he has been dominant in all his performances and Friday is an excellent opponent, not someone you want to fight in your 10th pro fight.

Style wise , Povetkin is a nightmare for Byrd.

Povetkin is a precise puncher, with handspeed , who throws many punches. Byrd likes to make fighters miss , then counter punch. Povetkin is an accurate puncher, and Byrd will have much trouble countering when he is getting hit. I expect Byrd to take quite a beating.

we will learn a lot about him in this tournament. if he can take byrd and brock i will be very impressed. but for me to believe he has a shot against wlad, he has to show a lot of power and a good chin, the two things u must possess to even be competitive. brock is the only one who can test his chin at all.

Yeah, I would probably favor Povetkin.

Byrd stands right infront of opponents and tries to make them miss. Povetkin is not going to miss on the inside, and keeps throwing. Byrd is likely going to get a beat down.

Dont write off byrd, he's a few years past his prime but he's cagey and experienced and knows every trick in the book. It is incredibly difficult to look good against Chris Byrd

What fighter hasnt looked good against Byrd recently? Golota, Mccline, Oquendo, come on. Byrd is getting hit alot, and Povetkin is going to finish him off for good .

Yes, exactly. Many boxing fans and writers love to repeat catchy phrases that were once true to sound like they know something, even though most of the time it's not even close to reality anymore.

Anyone who is giving Byrd a good chance in this fight doesn't follow current boxing closely or just doesn't know Povetkin. Donald was a tougher test than what Byrd will be.

Exactly. Povetkin is going to make a big statement to the division against Byrd.
