I personally don't find Russian women anything special. It's all a matter of taste. As for domestic violence, from what I have read, it is a real problem in Russia. If the women in the U.S. object to getting beat-up, I say good for them.

I don't advocate for domestic violence. I have an issue with a women being able to claim you raped her, without any evidence, and you going to jail. Men who beat up women deserve everything that comes to them from that.

 

I heard that the Russian parliament just passed a law that makes domestic violence legal unless the woman substains "substantial body harm". I also heard that an old Russian proverb loosely translates to " If he beats you, it means he loves you." I don't claim to understand the Russian culture but something seems wrong there.

 

That law is an abomination. Besides, English language has the "rule of thumb" which stood for the acceptable width of the stick with which to beat women. You really shouldn't try the holier than though appoach here, it's going to lead you nowhere.

It's not me trying to be "holier than thou". I just found it amusing when a Russian complains about U.S. women objecting to domestic violence. Just providing a little context here. As for "average feminist whale", fat Russian women have tried to pick me up in some bars in Toronto so the U.S. has no monopoly on overweight women. lol

 

Objecting to domestic violence is very different to making up domestic violence incidents and getting the guy locked up without evidence, his life essentially ruined. I am not saying russia is such a great place, but there you'd need to hit a girl first to go to jail. You know, the whole presumption of innocence thing.

When I clerked for a judge, in divorce proceedings, it was a standard part of the pleadings by the wife to allege at least one of spousal and child abuse. These type of accusations made it bad for women who were actually abused. However, other than self-defense, there is no reason why a man should lay his hands on a woman.

 

Its a well known fact that in America, the vast majority of raype claims are false. US women are encouraged to continue making false raype claims because they face no punishment for doing so...Its a win-win situation for them if they want revenge against a man. They do not even need any evidence- their word is enough.
