Wladmir dominates Povetkin worse than he did Chambers. I don't think Povetkin will even make it to the 12th round.

Bingo. Povetkin has absolutely nothing to trouble Wlad. His head movement may have improved but even Mora didn't have to many problems to hit him flush. I can only see an early KO win for Wlad.

    Utter nonsense in this thread.

I don't think any of you can tell the differences between Chambers and Povetkin.

For starters, Povetkin is an inside brawler but a very intelligent one. He knows how to slip and counter with the left hook which is a HUGE weapon against either Klitschko. He places his punches as well, if not better than Chambers does. He also brings more power than Chambers.

What will be the difference in this fight is the way Povetkin goes about his footwork in comparison to Chambers. Chambers depends heavily on his opponent falling in to his range and missing or hitting gloves. Sam Peter did that all night and so Chambers won easily. Not so with Wladimir.

Povetkin makes his range. He will find Wladimir on the inside and wage war with short left hooks and right hands. Those long range right hands and jabs of Wladimir will not have the same effect when Povetkin is fighting off his chest all night.

In order to beat Povetkin, Wladimir will have to employ an entirely different gameplan. He will have to revert to the guy that demolished Monte Barrett with uppercuts and short left hooks. If he doesn't and fights like he did yesterday I am going to say Povetkin takes it.

Have any of you actually seen Povetkin fight? He's head and shoulders above Eddie Chambers and the rest of the fat heartless American "contenders".

The way to beat Klitschko is to tire him out. So one has to prepare to eat jabs but continue throwing punches at him, especially when he tries to tie you up (I think Chambers did a good job of that early) never allow him to rest. He wants to fight in his rythm and you cant allow him to do that.

Povetkin will fall in within 3 or 4 rounds. His chin is untested and his latest competition is nowhere near Klitschko's skill level. I feel this is the fight Wlad needs to look good. A Ray Austin type finish.

Povetkin will be hit with all of Wlad's artillery. Wlad will KO him very quickly.

Have you seen Povetkin's last fight? That hungry contender from 2007 is back. He demolished that Mora guy. I think he will trouble Wladimir.

It's amazing what Wlad's doing. He's beating everyone from America and everyone from Europe: Byrd, Rahman, Chambers, Ibragimov, Chagaev, Povetkin, etc.

Ray Austin didn't do squat, he doesn't have the skills, talent, or boxing ability to beat Wladimir.

You circle to Wladimir's left when he's throwing the left jab, that way he can't throw the left hook to counter. Because if you circle to Wladimir's right, he will throw the right hand and trap you within his 1, 2. Shorter boxers should not stay within his punching range, he will eat you alive, like he eat Chambers, Chagaev, etc.

Yup Povetkin will be fighting for his interim title if he constantly delays fighting Wladimir.

One thing you're are forgetting though, Wladimir has very fast hands. He throws quick powerful punches. Chambers is quick and there was no way he was slipping or avoiding that left jab. If Povetkin can get within punching range constantly, that would be something.

Yeah, the obvious mistake Austin made was circling to his right (Wlad's left) when Wlad wasn't even jabbing, so Klitschko responded by landing a left hook from hell on him that Ray circled right into. The right hand never even got thrown in that fight.

It seems to me like the threat of the hook and the straight right makes guys complacent enough that they just let the jab in and stand in front of Wlad, thinking it's better to take jabs than the other shots. Just my two cents of course, but that's a trap Povetkin can't afford to let himself fall in to if he wants to win. Easier said than done. If Povetkin wants to win, he's got to be able to slip the jab and counter to the body to try and take away some of Wlad's mobility before he goes head hunting. I'm not sure he's quick enough or has the reach to go over the top once he's past the jab if Wlad's still fresh enough to back away.
