Alexander Povetkin has proven himself for many years now and still everyone is over looking him and putting guys like haye above him.

Haye fights bums Povetkin fights top guys that are proven and destroys them.

Povetkin boxed beautifully just before, punching from all angles, tripling up that left hook/hitting no guard, methodical, footwork etc...it was a good display.

Duhuapa on the other hand looked like a guy who took the fight short notice. He never really got into it. Im not making excuses for Wilder in any sense but he didnt fight like he did against Wilder. Styles make fights. In saying that I believe Povetkin would tame Wilder, not because of that fight, but what I see in both fighters.

Nice reasoned post. Duhaupas isn't very good offensively. Wilder just couldn't avoid his jab other than that he is pretty limited. Say what you want about Povetkin failing tests, his skill level is very high, great footwork, great combination pinching, good punch variety, distance all of it. He would make very short work of Wilder. Wilder's protected for a reason. He is nowhere near the technical level of Povetkin whose quickness would be a nightmare for him. It would be the same result as today

I think so too. Just this doping is not good right now. I dont think he needs it! Ill reserve judgement on the doping till all is revealed but yeah all that aside, Povetkin is a top boxer and great for the division.

Povetkin is an excellent fighter always has been.He has a very goid resume.. surely hes pushing close to p4p lists. I personally think hes the best heavyweight in the world.

So frustrating what has happened though, I was dying for him to Ko Wilder for the WBC title

Are you kidding me? How can you be so flippant about his failed tests? I have no interest in his skills if he's a cheat man and neither should you. This sport has to be cleaned up. Punishments have to be so severe that fighters will be scared to risk it. We can't overlook this stuff no matter who it is.

Doesn't anybody realize that he was juiced in this fight and obviously can't fight without it?! He will never fight for the Championship like this and in any country but Russia this fight would been cancelled and he would of been suspended, weird that people give Povetkin credit for this...

Can't believe what I'm reading. How can you all just brush over the fact that he failed another test? This scumbag should be made an example of and anyone apologising for him should be ashamed of themselves.

Any other country? Like the Mexican based wbc who didn't care that stiverne was doped up

Or in america where the wbc have vada drug testing smith but Hopkins is exempt from any drug testing and can come in doped up to the eyeballs and will be called a hero?.

Get off that high horse america is no better than Russia , in fact its a race to the bottom between both when it comes to drug cheats

Povetkin is the most gentlemanly drug user I've ever seen. Meldonium has been around since the 1970's and was just banned Jan 1, 2016? Why did it take 46 years for it to be banned if it is such a great ped? Apparently Ostarine is legal and sold in stores.

It's legal but it is banned in sports. Povetkin is a disgraceful PED cheat.

Hmmmm ....I see a few have taken lightly to a certain fighters repetitive nature in putting other boxers lives at stake by continuously using an unfair (and illegal) advantage. They must be from the country of Moronica. ..
