Stiverne was not "doped up", he took a pre workout drink that contained a banned stimulant that he took by mistake, it was not in his blood at fight time.

Povetkin took a PED that actually made him bigger, stronger and with better endurance at fight time!

100% Povetkin would be banned and the fight would of been canceled anywhere else than in Russian.

Of course I feel the same way about all fighters caught genuinely cheating. I've been a fan too long to overlook things like that because im a big fan of a certain fighter. Looks like you don't and that's a little sad. I really don't get how you can applaud a fighters performance whilst on a banned substance against a poorly prepared opponent. Nothing left to say man. This whole saga is an absolute disgrace to the sport. But I don't know what angers me more. The fact that this farce of a fight was allowed to take place, or the apathy towards drug cheats that some boxing fans show. Surely as boxing fans we should care about the integrity of this great sport, but it seems like some fans don't care about this as long as they get to see two people knocking lumps out of each other. It makes me wonder why I follow this sport myself.

 

I respect your position even though I find you naive to the sport and culture. I never said I was a fan of Povetkin just I respect his ability. Like I respected Holyfield's. I hope when the dust settles and if Povetkin is proven guilty that he gets dropped from the rankings, fined and suspended. As for Duhaupas I hope and pray he is ok, he took great risk stepping into the ring today very courageous fighter he knew the risks and accepted them. I hope he is ok. Have a good night

 

Yeah those of us that are talking about Povetkins ability to box, is purely that. We dont condone doping and from what I understand Povetkin sux right now but his team will let us know more soon.
