This. Apparently it's main use is (supposedly) reducing recovery time after strenuous exercise. Trace amounts will do squat for Povetkin in an actual fight today.

have you actually seen what meldonium manufactures have said about how long it stays in your system?

your just over the moon that wilder might have a way to get out of this fight:lol:

if you really supported him, you would want the fight still to happen:lol:

They said he took it in September 2015.

    Eight months ago.

I guess he took the only pill on the planet that stays in your system for eight freaking months.

    :happy

He either took it to help him beat Wilder ... or he took it to get out of the fight.

Every athlete in Russia knows it's banned.

So you either take it for its benefits or you take it to get caught.

Does it say on the label that it stays in your system for eight months?

I doubt they sell many pills if you only have to take ONE PILL A YEAR.

    Brilliant. :hi:

If only marijuana worked that way. I would love for 1 joint to last 8 months.

They can pick up MJ in the blood long after you aren't high any more.

If you can site one example of a guy smoking a joint and him testing positive for marijuana EIGHT MONTHS LATER ... please do.

Maybe if he died an hour after smoking that joint, and they exhumed his body eight months later, they might find something.

But anyone with a fully functioning body and organs won't.

If Povetkin took a pill eight months ago, as his promoter claims, and there are traces still in his body ... Povetkin's either been dead for eight months and they just revived him ... or he's a liar.

Since I've seen him alive ... he either took it this year for its benefits or he took it to get caught and get out of the fight.

Since Povetkin has now SABOTAGED THREE OF THE FOUR purse bids he's participated in ... I'm leaning toward he didn't want to fight.

Maybe the purse was too small. Maybe he had second thoughts.

But the "he took it in September and there are still traces eight months later" excuse doesn't wash.
